Finally. Wishlist comments actually work now.

I noticed the change to the wishlist format and tried to see if the comment boxes would work now. They do. It persists through page changes and relogs. Thanks Daz techies. :D

And what's more, all my old comments (that I had thought lost forever) have magically reappeared - double that thanks DAZ! :-)

A couple of other interesting changes to the wish-list: not only are the annoying item count boxes gone, but it used to be that when you added something to the wish-list, you went directly to your wish-list. Now, the little heart simply changes color (from grey to pink), indicating that the item has been wish-listed. At first, I thought the wish-list function wasn't working, but now I see that new items ARE being added to the list.

Oh. My. God. It persists, too! I just went back to an item that I have in my wishlist, and it has the little heart that says its in my wishlist already!

Wow, keep this up and 3DWishlist won't be necessary anymore! Well, okay, so there's a lot of features to get there, but it's REALLY nice to see progress!

I haven't bought anything since DAZ made the changes. Has anyone noticed if they also implemented a self-delete function (where an item removes itself from the wish-list once it's been bought)? That would be really nice.

Holy bawls.. it does! Yes! I hadn't even noticed this, thanks for pointing it out!

I haven't tested it since trying this PC+ thing, but before it would do that only if you added it to your cart from the wishlist, so it was there, it just wasn't the best way of doing it.

A note for everyone liking the changes; the wishlist is a bit broken right now, anything put into the cart isn't taken out but drops to the bottom of the list. And I don't know about anyone else, but this new layout is a massive step backwards in useability — I can't skim through quickly any more, I have to keep moving my eyes back and forth, back and forth or I'll lose track of where I am, and it's physically more tiring on my eyes.

Sorry, but IMO the DAZ web team's done it again. This needs to be rolled back to the last working version, the fixed comments (which I can't see myself ever using) and the pretty wishlist hearts don't make up for all the problems.

Since the admittedly pointless item count number boxes have gone I can't see a way of deleting multiple items. Removing them individually requires a full page reload, which puts you back at the top of the list each time. Surely there needs to be a way of marking items for deleting and then using the Update button. Order filter buttons would be really useful too, like alphabetical, release date, Daz originals, PC items etc. Like others I imagine, I use the wishlist as a quick way of highlighting items I might want to take a closer look at, or uniqe items that I might find some use for should the need occur etc, and not simply as a list of things I will definitely be purchasing at a later stage. Flicking my eyes from left to right on each item feels a little strange, but no doubt I'll get used to this.

But I'm guessing the folks at Daz are aware of all this and will continue to adjust and ameliorate the wishlist as they do with other areas of the site :-)

I've just been reading another thread where most of the points I raised have been discussed by others, so sorry for being redundant! That'll teach me to come to the forum more often :-)

Me too, with the added problem of things being less easy to find since the store changeover, once they've fallen off the New Releases page. If I stuff them into my wishlist, at least I'll be reminded of these items every now and then.

I agree: you should be able to mark multiple items for deletion and then delete them all at one go, not just individually -- not being able to do so anymore is the only reason I find to miss the item count boxes. Being able to sort items by artist, alphabetically, etc., would also be extremely handy.

    Greetings,
A long time ago (as per in my signature) I put together a greasemonkey user script (that also worked in Chrome) that improved the wishlist a little bit. Unfortunately userscripts.org is down now, so I had to re-tool it a little bit.

This new version adds a link at the top which allows you to ONLY see the items which are currently discounted ('show specials'), and moves the price under the image. (And bumps up its font a little bit.)

It also eliminates the tabs on product details pages.

For FireFox, as long as you have the Greasemonkey extension installed, you can get the user script here: http://3dwishlist.com/daz3d.user.js

For Chrome, I have gone and created a free Chrome extension on the Chrome web-store.

I hope that helps! I'm open to other features that can be implemented with just information that's on that page...

. . . and here I've been trying to figure out what the comment boxes are for. I've never had a need to type in any comments for "my" purpose. If the fields were there to give the PA some feedback, like suggestions for further addons, when you get to purchase the item, that I could see. Just never thought to put in any comments for myself. ~shrugs~

I put notes to myself as to why I have put it on the wishlist

Last time I tried to use them, it was to note what things went with if it was an addon/texture set for something else, or to note on something what addons/textures for it I wanted.

Even comes in handy for noting what idea you had for them if it was something other than what it's meant to be.

I tried to write a few comments just five minutes ago - this feature still seems to suffer from Dementia... ;-)

Sorry, I was very busy, so I didn't read your reply. Thanks for your advice, but yes, I tried it - and my comments vanished into thin air again. Just half an hour ago...

My most common comment is "get the UV files from the product page". My next-most-common is "needs productname", replacing with the name of the actual product that is elsewhere on the wishlist.

FWIW, the wishlist layout now seems to be fixed, although the item name is still stuck above the Comments box instead of beside the thumbnail pic where IMHO it ought to be.
