Possibility of a Daz Studio Bridge to other 3D Applications?

Hey there,

I was wondering if there is a chance for something similar to Poser Fusion, which would work as a link between DAZ Studio and other 3D applications like Cinema4D, Maya or 3DS Max. Something that just streams the mesh data that you are working on straight into an object in the target application whenever the user initializes a transfer process from within the target application.

Or even better, a bridge that would allow you to use the genesis/g2 figure skeletons directly in C4D, sends the joint rotations back to DAZ Studio, poses the figure with all the nice correctional morphs etc in DAZ Studio, and then streams the mesh data back into the target application.

Probably just a pipedream of mine, but hey maybe I gave you an idea that would be worth trying out :)

I would love a Daz Bridge to 3D Coat it would need two bridges though. One to the Pixel Paint room (which doesn't change the geometry so could be used for morphs) and one to the voxel room (for high res sculpting which does alter the geometry). Maybe 4 bridges if you want to send it to the retopo room and the UV room.

As a 3DSMax user I can see how this would be very useful, especially for vendors, BUT from first hand experience I can also see the extreme pitfalls with DAZ content being used where it shouldn't and against the EULA when used outside of DS. Personally I think DS export is fine where it is and that DAZ content should stay DS native. There are many other avenues for content if a user wants to venture away from this community and work in higher end software such as Maya and C4D.

What do you mean with "where it shouldn`t" ? You can already use it with those applications, it is just a very tedious process of importing for each and every new pose.
