When I try to load up V4.2 it says that the support folder is missing and it won't allow me to use V4.2.

How and where did you install V4?
I installed through the install manager.
Can you post these 2 screenshots:
1) In DS, Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, expand the "DAZ Studio Formats" and "Poser Formats"
2) In DIM, on Ready to Install tab check the "Show Details" box in the lower right
I don't know what you mean by DIM
Sorry, DIM = DAZ Install Manager. Did you change the install location in DIM, or did you install V4 to the default location?
I installed it to its default location.
If you right-click on the icon you use to load V4.2 and choose "Browse to File Location", what is the full path to that folder?
Its in User>Public>Public Documents>My Daz 3D Library>Runtime>libaries>Character>Daz People>
Do you have a "User>Public>Public Documents>My Daz 3D Library>Runtime>libaries>!DAZ>Victoria 4" folder?
I too am getting this error with both V4.2 and M4 but their files ARE in the default locations.
The browse to content location is not available in DS4, It's 'Browse other files that work with this'

What Mike is pointing out is the PATH in DIM that the Content was installed to says Public>Public> which is not a correct folder path for the User in the Response he refers too. It should read Users>Public>Documents>My DAZ 3D Library, it should not have the double public folders in the path as it does.
OK, I never noticed the Public/Public part of his installation, but mine are in the correct location.

Did you install by Hand with a ZIP or with DIM? It matters as the Bat file needs to have been executed for the content to work. DIM should have ran it on install. And are your Paths set up correct? Is your content folder mapped as both a DAZ Studio Format path and a Poser Format Path? If not then DAZ Studio is not reading the Poser side at all but the content will show in the Content Tabs.
Thank you Jaderail. my problem was that I had not set up the poser formats path in CM. I had installed using DIM.
