Hi Folks.

This is an interesting item.
I am wondering how it might relate to other items also, if anyone could help.

Am I right in thinking this adds detail to the surface of V6? And if so, how does this differ from other coverings or "skins" that might be used with V6?
How does it differ from HD coverings for V6? I know you need a 64 bit environment for HD, something I don't yet have.

Thanks.
I hope there are not too many questions.

Sincerely,
R

HD is actual morphs, the displacement maps are textures (images that go in the displacement channel and move the mesh when you render). Both add relief detailing, without affecting the colours or shininess using the existing maps, but the displacement maps do require the use of the correct UV set (while the HD moprhs are not affected by UVs) and, as I indicated above, displacement doesn't show until rendering; on the other hand, displacement will work in any version of DS, not just the 64 bit version.
