Fitting "A Gentlemen's Wardrobe" suit and jacket to Michael 4 in Daz Studio?

edited June 2014 in The Commons

Hi guys, :)

I'm a bit clueless as to how to fit clothing to figures in Daz Studio, but I have A Gentlemen's Wardrobe along with Michael 4 and the M4 figure seems to be a lot taller than Genesis 2.

Is there any way I can get this clothing to fit M4?

Thanks! :D

The clothes are designed for Genesis 2 Male (Generation 6) which come included in DAZ Studio 4.6 in the starter essential packs.

    M4 is Generation 4.

You can easily autofit a M4 clothing up to G2M, unfortunately not so easily the other way.

Under "Parameters", you can crank up the "Collision iterations".
It works pretty well, but you will have to wait for quite some time for it to smooth things out, and I would not recommend increasing the value while you are in the process of posing or adding things. The higher the value, the bigger the chance of system crash.

Oh goodness........I beg of you........please use the Genesis 2 Male for this set........the realism I strive for in my sets can only be realized if used on the intended figure. You may be able to scale Genesis 2 Male up a bit without losing the realism if you need a larger male figure for your scene.

I am in the process of putting together a website where you will be able to purchase expansion packs of morphs at very reasonable prices for my most popular items. This will make my sets endlessly useful as I will be able to offer fit and draping/pose matching morphs for each new Genesis 2 figure as they are released.

Thanks for the responses all and especially lee_lhs and the author of the clothing Aave Nainen! :D

I haven't updated my daz studio in a while so maybe it's about time I did that. ;)

In theory with Xdresser 4.0 is possible convert from genesis to M4. But in practice you would need:

1.- To buy Genesis 2 Male Clone for Genesis for convert from Genesis 2 to Genesis.
2.- To buy M4 xdresser license for convert from genesis to M4.

Xdresser 4.0 and genesis license are free.

But there isn't warranty that this works suitably as in the original figure.

Another way is buy M4 shape for Genesis 2 Male if you want see michael 4 with this clothes, Everyday wardrobe for G2F by Aave Nainen works very well in G2F with V4 shape. I only suposse it can be the same performance for G2M and M4 shape.
