LIE is a pain to work with - why so slooow?

I have bought this product: http://www.daz3d.com/tattoo-parlor-genesis-2-female-and-v6-vol-1
which uses the LIE to apply the tattoos on the figures.

Applying a tattoo takes a long time. Sometimes I think DAZ Studio hangs completely. Most of the time it takes about 10 to 20 seconds to get it. Then I want to adjust the tattoo (move it, change the scale), so I open the LIE and again, the performance is very poor. Slow and laggy and a real pain to work with.

I have a pretty fast PC (Intel Quad Core @3,4 GHZ, 16 GB RAM, modern video card, SSD) so this cant be the problem. Everything else is realyy fast and smooth.

So, is the LIE always that slow? Why? Is there anything I can do to speed it up?

BTW, I use DAZ Studio 4.6.3.52 64bit.
