Poser and DAZ files (or being a noob)

Ok, so I get an ad in my email from Renderosity and see some stuff I wanted/needed for DS. The ad mentioned V4 so I incorrectly assume that it meant DAZ V4 after I buy the stuff. It mentions that it works with all these Poser versions and that a DS version will be available in the future. It even said that on the order page but I missed it. :( Anyhow, just so I know all my options, could I open the files in Poser and export them to DS? I have a version of Poser here somewhere that I bought but never installed, probably V8.
Thanks,
TS

What is it a texture set, clothing? Is it a weightmapped V4? most V4 products work and load into DS, because Victoria 4 is a DAZ product but if it has only Poser materials, then you'll have to set those up yourself, Need more info

If you put the name of the product others might be able to help.

Hi I saw the PM and I'm pretty sure in this kind of a question scenario you'd be able to post the links because answer can be helpful to many users. So they're a clothing set and texture pack for the the same clothing set, and it's for DAZ V4.

First off you'll be able to install and load these into DAZ Studio directly and fit them to V4, no problem with that, all the morphs should work as well, the problem is they only have Poser 6+ material included in the product therefor in all likelihood they'll look plasticky in DAZ Studio because there are no DAZ specific material provided by the author of the pack.

You have two options, adjust the existing materials yourself under surfaces tab, or use one of the DAZ Studio shader packs to apply DS specific materials to the clothing. Use something like "Fabricator" there are plenty others too, if you search cloth shaders

Thanks. So where the author says "Daz Studio version coming later", is he mainly referring to the materials? I will check out Fabricator and if you or anyone know of any others I would like to know what is best or good shaders and where else to get them.
    Thanks,
