    really off topic:

ps1borg, Wendy, anyone who has been to Australia, can you help me with something? Easy question: I tried to find the answer online but I couldn't. If I were to fly from Sydney to Ayers Rock Airport, would I need to go through quarantine, DAFF or bio-security? Will a beagle sniff my luggage at the domestic terminal? I know I can't bring fresh bananas or raw meat across the state border. Who brings raw meat onto a four hour flight anyways?? The meat might spoil. No milk, no seeds, no nuts.. I know. Do I even need to fill incoming passenger card for domestic flights?

Yeah, I actually found a nonstop flight between Sydney and Yulara for about $350 for a one-way ticket. Not a bad price. Hotel room in the resort costs $400 a night though. Food and meals might be expensive too. Cell phone even works in the resort. I'm gonna buy a Vodafone phone and a SIM card too.

Ah.. I still haven't bought Outback or Kangaroo. I missed the sales.

Too bad the Australian embassy is closed on weekends or else I would visit them. Ok, bye. Gonna read more about Northern Territory.

    edit: forgot something as usual.

There are state border controls on what produce can travel where so short answer is yes, not necessarily Beagles and not necessarily the same stuff all the time tho. No passenger cards for domestic flights but security at the bigger airports alternates between slack and ultra paranoid, depending on this week's anxiety. I keep telling my friend not to wear his black hat on flights, he always gets searched

PS Kakadu is good value for tourists http://www.environment.gov.au/topics/national-parks/kakadu-national-park

I bought the new apartment this morning and decided to take a break to recreate Samuel's room. I'm not finished (still have to tweak some settings and stuff, and Sam has a bunch more weapons that have to be hung on the wall) but I'm happy enough to give a sneak peak.

At some point, I'm going to have to come up with a 'Dust Me' film on Sam's TV for when his best friend Angela sneaks into his room to play a prank.

Those pictures on the TV stand is little Sam at age 4 and his Grandfather, whose daisho is on the weapons rack on the floor.

Thanks for the info. I remember reading something about state border crossings but I couldn't find any details. I'll read about kakadu national park.

Nice day to be in the outback. Might need a winter jacket in the evening. Humidity varies during the day. Interesting.

I think my last typing test was back in 1964, and at the time I broke 100wpm. I think over the years I worked at the law firm, it varied a little either way depending on the keyboard I was working on. I always did better on a keyboard I had worked into responding to my touch.

Even though I retired about 10 years ago, I'm still up there around 85wpm. Then again, that's on a laptop or desktop's keyboard. I'm slow as molasses on my smartphone and tablet. I can't finger type with my thumbs . . . my nails are too long.

...my most recent test was for an employment service. Typing speed w/no mistakes, 36 WPM, 10-Key w/no mistakes, 2,900KPH. Standards for clerical skills these days are between 45 - 60 WPM typing and 8,000 - 10,000KPH 10-key.

I'm down to using only one finger of my right hand (which is usually where the 10-ky pad is).

not trying to pick on Sedor but I don't think I've seen a model pose like this before. Victoria 6 is leaning backwards while standing up. Lighting looks weird because the spotlights are to the right of the camera.

    Pose is from http://www.daz3d.com/bwc-fashion-poses-for-v6-v5-and-v4

The lighting does not look weird. Not all lighting is straight from camera position, you know. Changing it up introduces some drama.

However, the pose does look weird...and awkward.

A friend of mine was goofing around wrote this just because:

The machine gun chattered and bullets whizzed by as young Cpl. Stewart and his trusty mount Mr. Bouncey zig zagged at top speed to throw off the Hun's aim. Soon he heard the scream of Royal Steampunk Artillery firing on the coordinates he had called in. Gritting his teeth, he spurred his trusty velociraptor out of the blast zone just as the ground shook, throwing them both violently to earth. Dirty but unharmed, they stood with determined fierce grins. These Highlanders would live for another recon mission in this Great War.

the mental image it inspired was one I just *had* to make!

complaint - creators of tack (for mounts) really tick me off sometimes! Would it *really* be that difficult to put in 2 or 3 sets of reins for different type riding/scenes instead of just one that was also part of the bridle (and shared material zones so you can't even make the included ones invisible and cobble something together yourself)?!?!?! While no great equestrian by ANY stretch of the imagination, I have both been around enough horses and ridden enough to know that; while yes the ones all the different tack packs include look just fine for walking the horse, they are totally wrong for trotting, galloping, rearing, racing and pretty much any other type activity (and the ones we are MOST likely to be making an image of). Heck, there is not even options for just letting them hang or leading the horse!!!

I swear to all of you and God above that I knew somebody who actually walked like this. Forward, too! This was about 20 years ago and more than a thousand miles away. Tall and lanky, he would walk around the office EXACTLY LIKE THAT.

Now in retrospect, I think it was an optical illusion created by the curvature of his spine and possibly enhanced by holding his shoulders back. But it was the damndest thing to see and he had everybody scratching their heads!
