Objs parent to V4

How can I parent an obj to a figure so will animate with the figure in Carrara 8.5. It is fairly easy in DS 4.6 but I can't seem to work it out in Carrara.

    In the INSTANCES TAB, drag the obj onto the bone that you want it to follow - in this case presumably the head.

    Thanks, I tried V4 and Model but just didn't try head! works just fine.

    The figure is just an Animated Group (Carrara's term). V4 is the title of the group, Model is the geometry, and Hip, Abdomen, Thigh, etc. are the bones. As Holly said, if you want V4 to wear a hat, then it needs to be parented to the head.

    The above paragraph is speaking about simple models of course. If it is a conforming object, it is really a rigged figure, just like V4, with bones, that follow or conforms to V4's bones.

    As an example, here is an animation that shows a machine gun parented to V4's thigh ( the lower leg is hidden), which in turn has a billboard of a muzzle flash with a spin modifier and bulb light parented to the gun.
