Here's the question, If I take V4 texture and save it as a material setting in DS4 ,what happens if I move my content libraries around???
The reason I ask this is right now I have 3 separate folders , most of my textures for V4 or M4 are in the first 2 folders ,most of my DS4 content is in folder 3 .Does saving the textures as duf's keep the info of where the textures are now??if I merge the folders will I have to resave the textures as material settings ........am I making any sense at all???

You would have to re-save the textures once you move your content around. It doesn't save the texture itself in the file, just the location of the texture so when the material/pose is applied it 'locates' it where it's been told to so that it can load on your model.
Thank you fictionalromance ,that's sorta what I was afraid of ,so it's either save now and don't rearrange the folders orrrr rearrange the folders and then save. ........
It does stink I know but it feels good when you have everything in the order you want!
As long as the textures are in a content directory DS knows about only the relative path will be stored in the presets ("/Runtime/Textures/somefolder/somefile.jpg"), so as long as the location within the folder is kept the presets will work if the whole content directory is moved. Smart Content does use absolute paths, but you can update those by right-click menu on the content or if there's a lot of content you can export User data before moving, then reset the Database and reimport the metadata (including user data) after merging the folders.
