Want to say Thank you! to those vendors...

... who support Poser.

Not complaining here about those who don't include Poser CF or native Poser files. No vendor should ever feel at all bad about making that decision.

I've read some very long WIP threads on other forums that have detailed some of the issues with providing compatibility. I _know_ that it can be an enormous PITA to do for some products. And I know that not all vendors have or use Poser, or feel confident enough with it to reproduce complicated shaders or lighting. And I do understand that not everyone feels they can get enough of a return on sales to justify spending the huge amount of extra time that might be necessary. I get that, and, while I wish it were much easier to go from one format to the other, I realize it isn't.

Which is why I just want to say "thank you" to those vendors who do go to the trouble of making compatible products.

I know that my gratitude won't pay anyone's bills. But I'm very glad that Daz created a DSON importer that allows me to use Genesis, and that there are enough vendors supporting my choice of platform that it's still very much fun spending far, far too much money here. :)

Once again, thank you.

Absolutely! I feel the same way about Poser users who agree to integrate Genesis into their content creation. For many hard-core Poser people, it's a big bullet to bite, so when I see people here and especially at Rendo pop out Genesis content, knowing full well they don't have to to make their living in 3D Art, get a commendable tip of the hat from me! :cheese:

Completely agree with you. And thanks VG for starting the thread.

If it's not derailing it too much, can I add a big thank you of my own to the artists creating clothing and hair for G2F/G2M who also add Genesis support to those products. Many of us are a long way from abandoning Genesis (regardless of whether we also use G2) and your extra effort to include G1 versions/fits is appreciated!

AS a Poser user I too agree with you and give thanks to the PAs who do still support Poser.

I am a native Poser user so my products will always have poser support. I have a tester (Neil V1) who converts my Poser mats to DS. But there are some things that can only be created in DS if you want to take advantage of certain tools. I think out of our 100+ products 1 is DS only.

While I included poser files for the Show Girl Poses I normally do not since I only have Poser 8 and dont have a way of testing them. Also, I only make poses and its very simple to do the Poser CF files yourself in DS so I really know if its worth bothering with.
