Realistic Eyes.

I'm sure I'm not the first person to ask. But I've ran circles trying to find a skin set with realistic Iris's. Most of what I find look like some kind of Anime style.
I Favor Genesis - M4 and V4.
I would love it if someone would link me to some realistic skin mat sets.

The IRIS mat can be replaced independently from the skin material by selecting the eye>iris node's material. Another way is to use eye material in the smart content if you have options available. There are many eye products, some free. I suggest you upload a test render here and point out what you don't like about the eyes. That way we can help identify what may be needed. Getting eyes to look right more often has a lot to do with lighting, because any iris can look strange under certain (most) lighting conditions. Also try adjusting material highlights, white to yellow-dusk and light light bias not perpendicular or parallel to face or camera, I often find 30+- degrees from camera target and about 30-60 above the horizon a good place to start tests.

I have both of these:

They both make use of shaders. Look at me is also tuned for Genesis and V4/M4.
Thanks guys. I know about switching MATS. I do it alll the time. Most of my characters don't have the original eye mats. What bothers me most about this picture. Her eyes seem lifeless. I've used up all my eye mats. Trying to find a realistic set of green eyes.
They don't look too bad! Try lowering the Diffuse Strength for the Iris and Sclera in the Surfaces panel. I find making it darker looks better. Also, depending on the cornea/eyesurface settings, it looks like it's not catching any natural light or reflecting anything around it.
It's for Genesis and Genesis 2 but have a look at this product. It's an awesome product! It does rely on having things to actually reflect off the eyes though, so having an environment map/sky box or other props, buildings and what not will help. :) http://www.daz3d.com/project-eyeris
There's probably TONS of advice though. Search the forums! :)
Also, just to reiterate, I've seen amazing eyes with iris maps that wouldn't be considered "realistic". I personally don't like super-detailed irises. I find them distracting. :p
Eye MATs that have reflections built in are hard to make realistic looking. I prefer MATs with no reflection, and use the specular settings for the different eye surfaces to bring them to life. I think that about 90% strength for glossiness is about right, with specular strength varying on how intense you want it. I hope I remembered this correctly since it's been awhile since I did it.
Have you tried Sabby's EyesFX2? I use them a lot myself.
