Hello does anyone know if you receive the 30% discount on Carrera for being a PC member?

    I just checked, I'm in the Beta PC+, and using my account there is a huge discount right now. Carrara 8.5 Pro - 78% off, $68.40 US. Normally you get the standard PC discount on Carrara. Hope this helps (grab it while it's cheap, that"s less than I paid for the upgrade).

    Hmmm - Guess it helps if I actually LOG IN!!! The price with PC+ when actually logged in is $47.88. now that's a great deal!!! (today only)

    That's cheaper than it was to upgrade from 8.1 (for me as a PC Member) initially! Bravo!

    I like it when they have it at such a great deal, because I still feel that the entire Poser and DAZ Studio communities should all just switch over to Carrara. Once folks get used to the slight changes (improvements) on how things are accomplished, everyone seems to realize how much better Carrara is than everything else!

    It has everything we need for posing and rendering, but also:

    - Can handle a much higher number of objects

    - Has three scene scales for ease in navigation and setup: Large, Medium, and Small

    - Can render faster, with more options on render settings that are easy to understand

    - Has many forms of Modeling from Vertex and Sline to Metaball (blob), but also special modelers like Terrain, Plant, Volumetric Clouds, Ocean, etc.,

    - Has built-in Fire and other fun animation/image helpers

    - Lights and cameras are as easy to understand, setup, and use as a real-life studio

    - With the many available plugins, Carrara can render in many artistic modes for nearly any style of Art, and those methods carry over into animation

    - Carrara is very animation friendly. Most everything has settings that assist in animation, even some that automate animations for you, like:
    *leaves and branches rustling to varying wind speeds
    *flames dancing according to user input
    *waves following the wind - user input
    *animating textures and shaders
    *compositing over video and/or previous renders
    *animated atmosphere/skylight/global illumination
    *animated clouds and fog

    and has a very easy-to-use timeline sequencer that makes working with keyframes a real treat!

    Okay, I could go on and on.... :ahhh:
