Hi I am trying to install a a dcb file in Daz Studio 4.6. It is a shader.
I am running Windows 7 ultimate

The path it is supposed to be installed into is
C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4\ShaderMixer\Menus

Unfortunately, I have no file path with that name.

Is there any other place I can put that file that it will show up?

Is the problem the AppData folder? If so AppData is a hidden folder - go to Control Panel>Folder options (or just type Folder in the Start menu and click Folder Options) and in the View tab set Hidden Files and Folders to the Show option.

    Hi Richard,
I really appreciate your help. You have helped me so much with not only this but other posts.

The folder is now visible and I put the dcb file in it.
Now, where will I find the shader file?

The dcb is a custom brick with a transmap in it so I can add it to a material that does not have a transmap
    capability in the opacity strength.
I need to apply the dcb shader so I can take it into the shader mixer.
Will it be in the base Daz Studio or a mapped directory?

    I really appreciate your help.

Inside the ShaderMixer you will find it in the Brickyard panel, look under "Custom Bricks", you will also find it in the main SM window, right click on an empty area to open an options menu, right at the top is "Insert", you'll find all available bricks under it.

    Hi Richard and Bejaymac,
Thank you so much for your help.
All is well and I have located the roaming folder and the shader is working properly now.
The “Insert” worked perfectly and I was able with your help to get the shader to work.
    Thank you so much.
