K4 Morphs ++ Compatible with Genesis

I'm a little confused, I see that most K4 items are compatible with Genesis Basic Child, does that mean that I could also apply the K4 Morphs to have more options for character development? Are ALL K4 items compatible with Basic Child/ Genesis, or only select items? I've tried to reference the compatibility matrix, but my eyes seem to lose track before I reach the proper part of the grid and all I ever seem to accomplish is tracing and re-tracing lines with my eyes :red:
Thanks for your help!!

By 'compatible' it means via autofit. Autofit allows you to use clothing designed for another figure, but it's not a perfect match by any stretch. A lot of the K4 outfits tend to be for girls, and skirts are notoriously bad with autofit, doubly so with K4.
As for morphs, they're not compatible by default. You can convert them using a GenerationX but you cannot use them via any other means. I've converted a few K4 morphs over to Genesis and Genesis 2 myself. It's not a perfect match, but it's fairly serviceable.
Edit: Quick example. K4 Kaelyn on the left and the resulting G2F version using GenerationX on the right.
I used the same texture set for both, and the same outfit. I used my own K4 autofit for the shirt on G2F and custom UV's I designed to get the textures working. Only difference is the eyes, which are using the G2F settings rather than K4, as I haven't gotten round to doing new UVs for them yet.
Because DAZ has chosen not release the K4 shape as they did for M4 and V4. Gen X uses the auto fit clone for K4 to transfer morphs. Some morphs transfer without noticeable differences, other morphs show only minor variances and a few show wide variances.
Thanks for the example HOF! So for a wide variety of child morphs my best bet would be to purchase a K4 bundle that includes K4 Morphs+ instead of just purchasing the morphs and hoping they'll transfer to Genesis with GenX?
Morphs will transfer with GenX, but it's a matter of whether they'll transfer well enough to be useful to you. Some of the child morphs are particularly subtle, and one of the biggest drawbacks with classic Genesis is that there is far less detail in the face than in earlier figures. This makes all facial morphs considerably less accurate. This detail problem was remedied with Genesis 2.
That being said, the benefit of Genesis is that it has a universal mesh which can be made young or old at a whim, allowing you to blend in other figures such as Victoria or Michael and so on. That means that any Genesis morphs will benefit the final figure, since you can create a range of children without the added expensive of buying specific child morphs.
It might also benefit you to check out Zev0's Growing Up morph set for Genesis. It contains both a new child morph, which is more anatomically correct, as well as posture correction morphs and other useful shaping tools. It's one of the nicer tools for creating youths there is.
I second what Herald said. Also of note... Young Teens are good for custom-dialing kids. They can make an adult morph younger without much work.
