Platinum Club Plus - REALLY Confusing

I'm just really confused by the PCP.

Most notably the 'extra' $6 off $18 for 'select premier artists' -- how on Earth do I use that?

Is there a part of the store where these artists wares are showcased, that I can find quickly? I'm tired of adding stuff to my cart, testing with the coupon, finding that's invalid, repeating and rinsing.

Is it just me, or is anybody else having the same problem?

At the top of this page - http://www.daz3d.com/platinum-club-items it shows which artists stores are on sale special for the coupon. Not sure for the rest.

The coupon is valid on all PAs, but not on new releases. The selected artists are offering a 30% discount on non-new releases by certain PAs, which may or may not stack with other discounts at the PA's discretion.

Is there a listing of all PA's? Or better still a filter than can be used in the store to browse by all PAs?

Right now the experience of using the PCP is really user-hostile without it.

At the top, hover over Shop and there's a heading for Shop by Vendor.

But that's a massive list, and it's not clear which of these vendors are included in the deal -- that's the whole problem.

Is it possible to have a filter that shows me, when I go into the store, which vendors are PAs?

At the top of the page, in the link you were given by Silker it says:

PC+ Members get 30% OFF these Premier Artists Stores (updates weekly)

That's actually a very good point — we can get an "all DO items" view in one click, and "all PC items", but the "all PA items" view that we used to have in the old store was never reinstated after the changeover. And I realise in hindsight I've definitely needed it to make sense of several special offers over the last year or so.

More generally, we can limit lists to "only something" (only one vendor, counting DAZ3D as a vendor, only Platinum Club items, only for G2F, etc), but we can't limit lists to "not something" (not a particular vendor, not Platinum Club items, not for G2F, etc.) This does make searching the store more difficult than i needs to be.

And yet, it's something that could be solved fairly quickly just by creating a in-store identifier that marks an item as a PA item. That's clearly within the parameters of the store software given that the store CAN create a list of either DAZ Originals or the smaller subset of Platinum Club items, so there'd be no issue with PA items that's also happen to be DOs.

So it's not impossible, it's just a case of no one actually doing the necessary data entry.

It is amazing how that old "held together with spit and duct tape" store continues to have had superior functionality after all this time, isn't it? In fact, I'm hard pressed to think of anything that this new store can do that the old one couldn't... unless you count glitch sales. :cheese:

Oh, there were plenty of glitches in the old store, some of them fairly ridiculous. In the new store, though, if I'm remembering right the glitches are more of a regular occurrence, and even more ridiculous. :-/

I today wanted to get into PC again after a longer break.

But the current PC Plus looks strange to me, maybe I understood something wrong? Please help. The beta looked very interesting to me because you could apply the coupon to PC items.
That is the important part for me, because I often just want to use the 6$ coupon without adding any more money. That would be easy if I can just buy some PC items.

I left PC last time when the 2.99 (or 3.99?) category was introduced. That meant I could basically only use the coupon for items between 4$ and 6$ because the stuff below that would be PC (or value) items. So I have many of those.

    The new rules:

    - $6 coupon code good towards DAZ Original products every month.
Excludes Gift Cards, Memberships and Platinum Club Plus Items
    - New Platinum Club Plus items released every week at price points of either $2.99, $3.99, $4.99 or $7.99.

I am afraid that now all stuff below 6$ will be 2.99, 3.99 and 4.99 and I can no longer use any coupon without adding any money extra. So that means I can mostly just use the coupon for stuff > 8$. Or do I understand something wrong? Are PC and value items also PC+ items? What exactly are PC+ items? So for what is the coupon valid? Thanks.

A coupon for PC items too would bring me back to PC immediately, but like this I'm not so sure...

This thread might help you, and there's also the people better qualified than me to answer you: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/44478/

Value items no longer exist. They were all put together with the PC items released before July 30th to form the "PC+ back catalogue", and all of them cost $1.99 now.
PC items are now PC+ items. You have the PC+ back catalogue, as mentioned above, but all new PC releases are PC+ items.

The option of "use on PC items" of the regular Daz $6 was not carried over because you get fixed, tiered prices for PC products, and something about financinf that part from the DAZ side of things.
So, 2$6 off DAZ" is no longer valid on any PC item, no matter how much the price is.

Instead, you have one coupon "$6 out of $18", which you can use on Daz Originals, PC items which are not "new", and PA items. It excludes new releases, gift cards, and memberships.
So, you have to get youre cart filled with $18 worth of contrent, which is not new release, gift cards or memberships, and you can use that new coupon. Basically, wait until the PC item is no longer new, then throw it in with your other purchases, and use the coupon...

PC+ items are *only* those items in the PC+ category. So, for example, Yin Yang for Xiao Mai clothes which is $4.88 for Platinum Club members would still be valid for the $6 coupon.

PC+items also have the "P" icon under their product image on the main catalog page, and under the "add to cart" button on the product page.

Unfortunately, due to the flat pricing of PC+ items, the $6 coupon does not apply. The new $6 off $18 coupon does apply to PC+ Items older than 60 days (the ones that no longer have the "new" banner on their product image), but that doesn't help you if you can't spend more than $6.

Thank you both. I have to think about if this is really a good deal for me.

Just wanted to say thanks for this explanation.

The PC coupon system is as clear as mud. The fact that it requires the above detailed explanation in order to make any sense of it is a sign of the poor design.

I'm enjoying my PC membership but it gets very annoying trying to apply coupons and constantly not having them work, then going back and checking on items and realizing that some tiny, gray icon was or was not present. I can't believe that a more straightforward system can't be implemented.
