I would like to know if the Advanced Metal Creator is a stand alone product or does it require another product like the Advanced Metal Shaders. I would also like to see the renders people have either the Advanced Metal Creator or the Metal Shaders.

From the looks of it it's standalone. Check out the official thread here: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/43122/

Hi John. This is a stand alone product.
If you want to see how it works and some renders, I think you will find plenty of things in youtube videos, (explaining how it works and showing how to develop/customise metals with it). In the readMe of the product there is a pdf :
    http://docs.daz3d.com/lib/exe/fetch.php/public/read_me/index/19362/19362_amc_pdf_tutorial.pdf ,
and on the last page of the pdf, you have several "thumbs" sending to the videos I just told about and focusing on different type of content, from a general presentation of the shaders, to weapons, everyday props, and armors for instance.
In the same pdf at the same page, there are older videos explaining how to do the same with advanced metal "shaders" (not creator) but the links are not the "thumb" format, just clickable in the text, they also show in a same video different types of props (video for the "shader" version : http://youtu.be/b6Kit810zys )
I think it is the fastest way to see renders for different type of objects.
You can PM me for any further question, or ask directly in the product topic.
    Have a nice day :)
