City scape modeling advice

Greetings, i am currently attempting to model a cityscape for my own purposes, specifically i am attempting to create the exteriors at this present stage. i was wondering if other model makers out there had any advice on how to construct them, texture them or even how to arrange them properly. I am looking to accumulate as much information as possible from as many people as possible. Thank you in advance :)

Stonemason's work is excellent, I have several of his products and would buy all of them if I had the money !!!!!!!!!!!
Dreamlight has excellent tutorials, and loves his lighting, it's amazing what a difference lighting can make to a scene.

Otherwise do a google search for ebooks on Architecture, Town Planning, Civil Building Engineering.
Many cities also have town planning information that is available.
