Animal summer project [commercial]

HI Guys, just started new summer project :) finished just the first base in Zbrush for G2M
hair just for my own references for now but I will make also fur and going to make cute clothing and also baby
it is not hurry project so I want to take some time on that

    I'm an old school planet of the apes type guy, so this looks really nice. I was just thinking about this the other day.

    @whispers65 me too ..I read the Planet of the Apes Novel by Pierre Boulle for the first time exactly 30 years ago and 2 times to date ..I still love the first movie from 1968 I watched it couple of time in my lifetime ..the second one from 2001 was not bad ..I am waiting to see the new one from this year and see how much is left from the Novel ..
    My Humanzee was over due since genesis 1 .. so I am going to make it happen for G2 this time

    Seems like we have product cross-over again.
    I am in the middle of my revision of my "Ape World" series. My chimp is done and I am beginning on my orangutan

    I am doing an realistic animal actually 2 species with infants .. Chimpanzee and Bonobo great apes
    and I guess yours will be released first anyway so I don't see here any problem, do you?

    Thanks Guys.. I just started the test head texturing with new UV's
    I used for references the bald chimpanzee from UK I think .. so I can see the true form of the body without fur for the base

    the second one is photograph .. but I am just testing things out before going into the actual texturing to see how the body morphs working with proportions and stuff , as I want him to be 100% animal and not cross species humanoid character ..

    I could not resist to check the head test textures in DS with some clothing ....just for fun
    and he is really cute rocking the Spartan armor lol

    I want to make for him own set with nice shirt and jeans as pet clothing .. but my intention of the project is to make him as wild animal ..and the setup will cost a lot of work to remake all the joins and JCMs and expression morphs ..

    I think you had me sold at Baby, and mind you this was before I even seen what animal it was going to be, lol, I'm just hoping it doesn't come out really close to Rawn's Ape World because I'm looking forward to that too. The pictures look amazing though and I'm completely anticipating seeing how adorable the baby will look, is the baby going to be for G2M also?

    I am doing all the family members on G2M , as it really no matter here what base is used ..
    bellow is the baby chimp I am going to make
    and regarding your other question.. I really don't know but I assume not

    I doubt these will duplicate Rawns project. His stuff isn't close to realistic, it's more in the lines of b movie monsters and Saturday morning cartoons. So far, this looks seriously realistic.

    What are you painting the texture in, out of curiosity?

    But: your apeworld is humanistic apes - not realistic apes.
    So it's really different.


    Personal opinion:
    There is nothing wrong with b-movies in my eyes, they have their own charm.
