Dear Experts,
can someone explain to me as detail as possible how to fix this issue as simple as possible?
I tried dynamic clothes but this is not working for that product.
The following picture describes the problem, because I dont know how this is correctly spelled.

I tried following this tutorial
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIIM1oAan7o
But somehow I failed in both cases. :(
Or does it work only for some textures/meshes? . . .
I guess you guys must run into this problem too, how did you solve it?
thank you

I misunderstood until I saw which tutorials you linked, you mean not rigged correctly
firstly could you please give some more information
is the skirt autofitted from another figure or made for Genesis?
are you adding the extra bones then weight brushing them so you can to move it?
is the smoothing modifier added and enabled?
if first using another made skirt for genesis with skirt bones and using transfer utility to fit it to it might prove easier
or buy Sickleyields rigging and morphing system which does a similar thing and works in autofit too.
Read somewhere that there may be an issue in the recent release with the weight map brush so ? if that was part of the problem when following the tutorials.
Anyway, for simple issues with poke through many use a morph. Check the Parameters tab when item is selected ... may be something already there to use.
Morphs can be created using the D-Formers. If it works as desired, spawn the morph and save it.
First of all thank you for your post.
To your questions.
The skirt is autofitted. And it is a poser Format.
"are you adding the extra bones then weight brushing them so you can to move it?"
No. But I tried adding extra bones so that the skirt is 'rigged' correctly, I even tried to import it to 3ds Max and expanding the bones area selection so the skirt is wrapped smoothly. But no matter how much I stretched the bones selection, it simply didnt affect anything.
is the smoothing modifier added and enabled?
I guess no?
I am searching it now where to activate it.
Edit: Okay I found and activated it but it still not looking good -__- Almost same
Poser skirt to Genesis shape figure?
From a video tut over at Youtube [sorry, forgot who it's by atm]... IF I recall correctly, first have nothing selected and load the poser clothing.
Convert it to weight mapping.
Then apply "fit to" ... and select the figure shape [A4?] ... this would create the skirt WITH whatever morphs it can keep over.
If that then looks correct, save out the new clothing file.
Check it with some poses ... I favour leaving the bones alone and making morphs instead.
Just to avoid misunderstandings.
If I apply the skirt and the legs of the model are straight it looks fine.
When I start animating the model the skirt looks not good anymore because the skirt behaves like a jeans/pants.
I tried what you said and it brings me closer =)
At least now the skirt is wrapped smoothly when I animate the legs.
But now another little problem occurred.
The skirt is hanging around 20cm too high after applying autofit.
How to get this solved?
thank you much
the problem is it is picking up the weight influence of the legs
try choosing shirt instead of dress or skirt in autofit then create movement with morphs instead
morphs can be created using Dform in Daz studio itself or preferably in another software if you have the skills
Poser or other dynamics one way (you mentioned having Max) or softselect in a vertex or voxel modeler.
I myself would go the skirt handle route again using shirt then rigging them but as I said the easier route is to simply use an existing skirt borrowing the rigging.
Yeah, most stuff looks good in "T" ;-)
Seems fixing 3D stuff is like fixing the plumbing ... fixing one thing, breaks another.
I don't know why. Don't appear to have that skirt in my collection so can't check it.
Possibly something to do with the "hip" bone, weight mapping ... or the position of the original .obj file that was used to create the garment way back when.
'bit of a maverick myself ... I sometimes take the old .obj files into modeler [Hexagon] and "weld it" and fix the mesh where it needs fixing [it will, they all do] modeling it to the basic figure ... remake the uvmap ... reset the Shading Domains and materials ... export out new .obj file. Then in D/S simply make the item "new". One may or not need to make some new morphs ... depends upon item and required poses.
Sickleyield has some useful rigging tools in her store which add to the options when using the TU and/or autofit.
Alright guys, thank you, somehow I did make it.
I guess the solution was a combination of autofit skirt knee length and smooth modifier and removing the underwear lol.
But at least it looks pretty neat now.
I wished I could remove those very few overlapping spots but happy anyway
It's not uncommon to polish images up using "postwork" ... swing them through an image editor and add some artistic flare or whatever ;-)
I know :)
But I intent to make an animation and record a video and this makes my life harder.
Well, for whatever it might be worth, I do have some tutorials here: DA Link. Morphing Clothes Shapes and Poses may be of some help. I know I got the long skirt to work in an animation. Requires setting the figure pose first from A to B ... then selecting the skirt and relevant morph A to B. Then selecting the figure and run the animation.
edit the bulge map (s) for x rotation to fix that poke through on the thigh
