3D MODEL REQUEST - WOOLY MAMMOTH

I've searched DAZ for a Wooly Mammoth, and haven't found anything. I've found really nice hair plug-ins for Rhinos and Big Cats, and there are some really nice Neanderthals, but no Woolly Mammoth to speak of.

I'm wondering if I can request via Daz community Forums, that an artist(s) who contributes to this site model a Wooly Mammoth. A nice hair plug-in for it would be GREATLY appreciated, too.

I imagine whoever does it stands to make a reasonable profit; especially if it's done really well.

If any one is interested in this, please leave a comment.

Thank you!

Dinoraul has a nice one available at CP.

And there are Look At My Hair Presets for it:

    LAMH Ice Age preset pack

At the link above comes a preset pack containing detailed Look at my Hair hair and fur presets for the Neanderthal 4.5 for Genesis (fur for the 3 clothes included), Dinoraul's Mammoth and my Sabertooth Reloaded by AM.
You may use these presets with the LAMH Free Player or the LAMH 1.0 Full version available here:

Also there is a Look at My Hair preset available for the DAZ Mammoth.

Mec4d has a very nice set of morphs to convert the African elephant http://www.daz3d.com/african-elephant into a Columbian Mammoth. It used to be here at DAZ, but now it's on her own site for just $1.00 There's a video showing it being used here: http://youtu.be/peOO8wtKcts

IIRC, there's also a free LAMH preset for it which is what's shown here: http://www.daz3d.com/look-at-my-hair-free-player

Dinoraul's mammoth is also available at Content Paradise, where they also have an older model from the extinct animals set. Currently the CP version is $5.99.

    Cybersox,

I'm pretty sure the preset shown in the LAMH ad is for the Dinoraul mammoth at CP. This preset is in the Ice Age Pack (link in the quote in my post above) and is available for free from Rendo.

The preset for the DAZ Columbian Mammoth (from Mec4D) is available on the Furrythings website (also linked above)

Right, although there are actually three different free Columbia mammoth fur presets at furrythings, but they're still labeled "DAZ mammoth"rather than mec4d because it was still at DAZ when those presets were created. I've bought a lot of DR's stuff, but I've never gotten around to picking up his mammoth for the simple reason that the African elephant used to come free in the old free Safari bundle, the conversion morphs used to be in the DAZ freebies section and the LAMH presets are free, while the CP version used to be in the free Extinct animal bundle, so that's been quite sufficient to cover all my mammothy needs.

The african elephant from Daz was reworked with different cr2 to works better with my early free mammoth morph and the LAMH present the image with my Colombian mammoth and my Neanderthal that I have here in the store before so Cybersox13 is right ..
I have in am agenda project with new elephant weight mapped and additional shapes like mammoth .. but when it will be released can't tell jet

I used Mec4Ds' Columbian Mammoth morph and Carrara's dynamic hair to create a woolly mammoth. I did it some time ago, so if I were to revisit it, I think I could do better.

Studio now has a plugin to do a quasi-dynamic hair, so maybe that's the way to go for you.... Although, being a Carrara user, I would suggest trying Carrara. ;-)

Sounds good! I really like your mammoth morph, having grabbed it back in late 2012.
