If someone already pointed this out I missed it. I am pretty sure I know the couple from this app.

Thanks for the link...I'll have to look at getting that for the iPad.

I'm not sure why anyone already involved in 3D would need this. I can see the convenience but we can already do all that, can't we?

I really don't think that this Ipad app was created for us. It is just amusing to see Mike and Vicky in it.

Of course, you're right. My knee jerk reaction I suppose.

As a teacher I could use it to do storyboards with the kids. There are a few different animation/storyboarding apps, some of which I have already used with them.

I never meant that I could use it for 3d rendering...; ) Sometimes I do things other than 3D. I mainly bought the iPad for school. It's a lot easier to take the roll on than my laptop.

    cheers

I'm curious on the actual nuts and bolts of the app? Did he get a game developers license, decimate the models and use it for the base, or are all those options and angles pre rendered and assembled in the storyboard environment in layers or something?

It says it's 3D content in the description.

    - All content is in 3D.

I downloaded it to use on the iPad at school. It has very few actual items that come with it. The app itself is free and they charge for content. Where have I seen that business model before...?

It is certain 3D as you can twist and turn the object to all angles and scale it up or down. I would imagine that they have a gamer licence and have probably used the plug-in that allows you to create images and rotate them that was released some time back. I can't remember what it was called but some PA's used it to allow you to view a model from all sides in the daz store.
