Cool stuff, although you can clearly see the badge deforming in the first promo. Could you make that a separate prop instead?

  • ToyenToyen Posts: 1,888

No plans to make it a prop sorry. Because of it's size I chose to make it part of the shirt/fully conforming knowing the limitations to prevent poke-through.

    cool!

It looks quite nice :) I do have a question though, regarding the sheriff star, does it have its own surface? So one can easily hide it if wanting/needing too

  • ToyenToyen Posts: 1,888

Yes both stars (shirt and hat) have their own surface and can be hidden by setting the opacity slider to 0.

That star is screaming out to be attached to a rigid follow node, to avoid distortion and allow for easy adjustment of position. I understand you don't intend to do that. It is a shame.

good point, the star should be a separat prop

Thank you for the nice comments! :)

Regarding the star, rigid follow node for the star was just not giving me the results that I wanted in that area. There was more poke-through than I expected when posing and it was twirling too much when twisting the left arm so I decided to make it conforming with some inevitable distortion.
I understand that some would still preffer to have that option available. I will see what I can do. :)

Could add one as an optional prop and let the user have the headache.

Agreed.  Except for the badge it looks phenomenal.

  • YES, and a 1911 with a functioning slide.  One question, are the hammer and safety operational like the slide so the pistol can be worn in "Condition 1" (cocked and locked)?  Going to be an instabuy for me once it is released.

    The product is now live!
There are three morph sliders for the gun (the slide, the trigger and the hammer). I will look into including one more option for the badge but it's probably going to take a week or two before it's live :)

And it is in my cart. smiley Thanks for looking at a badge-prop option

I don't know how the Sheriffs carry where you're from, but Condition1 isn't done in Texas. They don't carry 1911s either, at least in the Counties around me.

I AM from Texas and know of several PD's in TX that DO carry 1911's in Condidion 1 (one in particular in the D/FW TX area that carries Kimbers exclusively) and know of several other departments (mostly rural) that give officers the option of carrying their own 1911 if they choose.  A lot of departments have gone from 9mm & .40 calliber to .357 Sig but a few still give the offlcer (usually older officers in plain clothes) approval to carry a 1911 if they are trained properly in the 1911 manual of arms and choose to carry it.  Some of the Texas Rangers used to carry 1911's as an option (rangers personal choice) as they were familar with it after WWII.

That is all of the history lesson and back to our regularly scheduled programming and this great asset.  I have several young ladies that will be pulled over by an officer in this asset soon.

In the coming days there should be an update to the product that includes the option to use the star badge as a rigid follow prop.
