Gallery Specifications

Hi, fellas, just wanna know... What are the specifications for placing images in the galleries?

I already know what they said you can and cannot upload with respect to image content, but what I want to know (and seriously haven't been able to find) are things like the maximum file size (how many kb), maximum pixel size (height & width in pixels), type of image accepted (jpg, gif, png), and so on.

Help, please? Thanks!

Looks like 10mb file size is about the only restriction other than content. See post 4 by DAZ_Jon in this thead:

JPG or PNG, we'll convert everything else (if we can) to one of those formats. There is no size restriction in terms of resolution, just filesize. Anything above 10MB will be shrunk down to under 10MB, but just remember, the larger the image, the less likely someone will sit and wait for it to download and display. Same goes for the gallery header images, and once you upload one, just like image thumbnails, you can create your own cropped part that will be shrunk down to fit the 960x400 pixel space. Its still public beta so we have missed some clean up work like saying what the resolution is or aspect ratio in places where it is more limited. Gallery images themselves though, free for all on resolutions (although we will be adding a minimum size requirement since uploading an image which is smaller than our thumbs makes it look ugly).

A further question: are hand-drawn images allowed in the gallery? Or only software-generated ones?

    The emphasis is on renders.
