A way or script to minimize Genesis character to just the needed morphs ?

hi,

G2F/M are great but use so much RAM... Once I finished dialing a new character I would like to to save her/him with only the morphs I dialed for it and also keep the useful ones like expressions.

I know I can go delete them manually after saving the character but it's really not friendly.

Do you know a way to do that or is it possible one of the community script god could save us all, HD space and RAM ?

I am even surprised there is nothing like that already existing, I know that the Gen4 Morph loader is not possible with G1 and G2, but save the only wanted morphs in a temporary folder and reload the figure should be...

So I don't know python and my coding knowledge is too bad for that but if there is anyone interested doing that ? Even as Product that could be sold.

Thanks

this doesnt take too much time, You could export Zeroed Figure as OBJ at Base resolution then Load via morph loader.

I guess you could have another G2 Saved to a Different Data folder, with all morphs deleted and load the Morph on that one

Though Ill be sticking around this thread for any other methods

yeah, like prepare a 'lite' version ready to use... Not a bad idea !

Remember that morphs are not loaded until you set them to a non-zero value, assuming this is DAZ Studio. Freezing the morphs by exporting as OBJ and importing as a new morph will lose any pose and expression adjustments, and will require redoing any joint adjustments, so it may well not give satisfactory results.

Thanks for the informations, but what about the space usage on hard disks ? I don't want to just do a morph and textures dsf and would prefer not to just save as scene but as actor :)

There is no way to create a character without copying all morphs? I don't know like use relative path to existing one somehow ?
