Clueless about Pose Handles!

I just don't get handles. I try to grab one using the Selection Tool and only accomplish twisting Victoria into a pretzel. I try with the item (in this case Deleria Dress) selected, but the selection always moves back to a Victoria body part. I have tried several other tools and accomplish nothing.

Also, I can't get the darn handles to disappear and they show up in the render.

For your info Deleria Dress is V4 and I am using it on Genesis.

Try to find the handle in the Scene tab, and select it from there. Then you should be able to move it. I've found that even though I think I'm selecting a handle, I'm selecting the figure to which the item is parented. You can hide the handle from the render by clicking on the "eye' in the Scene list or setting the opacity to 100 percent in the surfaces tab.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried the scene tab, and when I open up the twisties there is nothing that says "handle." It doesn't expand to anything other than a body part description (pic of Scene Tab). Again, when I try to select any of these and move one, the figure moves instead.

I did try to close the eye on the right thigh, but part of the skirt disappears (See figure).

If you auto converted it, then it looses the handles.

If you look in the Surfaces tab and find the Handles you should be able to put the Opacity to 0 and they will dissappear from your render.

Auto conversion doesn't play well with dresses. Handles are basically extra bones added to give you more control over how the skirt moves, but those bones are deleted when it converts to a Genesis compatible outfit. Instead, it links the dress to the legs, which can give undesirable results.

    Instead of autofit
Use edit/convert to triax figure to keep the handle bones then transfer utility to fit to genesis.

Thank you for the advice. It worked.
