Bit overwhelmed, please help.

Hi! I'm a returning user to Poser and DAZ3D (have been a long-time member, but busy doing other things for the past couple of years). I've just installed Poser 9, and was totally overwhelmed when I went to download and install Victoria 4 and other content again from my account. It's all so different now and I have no idea what I'm doing. Is it still possible to manually install stuff into the correct folders from the zip files? I miss the auto installers, they were so easy! I did try manually installing from the zip file and it turned into a real mess. Not sure if that's because it can't be done anymore (not used to Poser 9 at all yet either) or because I'd forgotten how to do it properly (I suspect the latter). I've checked out the DAZ Install Manager and is this supposed to work with Poser as well, or is it meant for just DAZ Studio? And what is the DSON importer? Is that something I need as well as the DAZ Install Manager or instead of? Are there any tutorials out there I can get a hold of? I have searched through the forums and googled, but there is so much information out there I was swamped and I have no idea as to where I can even start anymore. So much of it appears to be out of date now, and I have no clue which version is what. Thanks for all the help anyone can give me, it will be much appreciated!!

Thanks so much! Appreciate it. :-) I'll check those out. Does anyone else know if the DAZ Install manager can be used with Poser as well?

Yes it can. You just have to tell DIM where to install stuff.

You'll only need DSON if you want to use V5 and V6 in Poser.

It's more of a plugin for Poser not just an importer.
You may remember the way Poser does the heavy lifting for it's Figures in Vue.
DSON does the heavy lifting for V5 and V6 in Poser.

Thanks so much guys! I finally worked it out by doing lots of experimenting. The only way I could get it working was to try installing into a folder in My Documents, OUTSIDE of the main Poser one. Crazy system, but it worked! :-) New computer, new Windows 8.1 system, new version of Poser (previous one was Poser 7) and new ways of installing content all at once...not really conducive to one's sanity, but I'm getting there lol.
