Support Ticket issue/How do I correct the G2's surfaces?

Early June I submitted a support ticket on a surface zone issue on both Genesis 2 figures, where the fingernails surface doesn't include the underside polygons of the fingernails in it. The same issue for some of the polygons on the toenails surface. Its rather obvious when setting the nail surfaces a different colour to the skin, and dialing up claw morphs or long nails.

Now I very quickly got a happy reply that they would put it in bug tracker and let me know when the issue was resolved. I expected it would take a fair while to process, and thats all well and good, they are very busy after all. But instead, today, I receive a notice that the ticket is closed and an accompanying reply by another staff member saying:

"As we have not received a response, we will assume you have resolved the issue. If you have any further questions or concerns, please open a new ticket and let us know. We will be happy to assist you. Have a great day!"

There was nothing to reply too!

I don't submit support tickets often, and made clear in my ticket, if it were not fixable for an update in DIM for what ever reason, thats fine. I would have been satisfied with a close and a reply saying "Sorry, we looked into it and cannot fix it because ......." - But with it as it has happened I feel like I've just been brushed off. I have heard just now from a friend who had a similar experience a while back. I really hope this isn't something common.

Rant over...

Now I have played since filing the ticket and worked out how to modify and correct the surface zones on the two figures in DS via the geometry group editor tool. Saving as an actor of G2M/F will keep the fix for those specific actors, but I would like to apply the fix to both 'figures' themselves, so that I don't load a scene and find its not fixed on the character because they weren't made from that actor. How should I go about updating the actual figures? which themselves aren't found in the content directory. Do I just save as "SupportedAsset>Figure/Prop Asset" then replace the figures dsf in Data? Should I handle it a different way?
I guess I'll have to back it up in case the figures updated in the future.

Thanks for any help :)

Obviously the poor genesis 2 ladies suffer a dreadful nail condition that causes their skin to grow up the under surfaces of their nails.

Support is currently closing old tickets, not necessarily closing out the bugs.

The bug is still open, its just that support has closed your particular ticket since there is nothing that they can do themselves. Basically they're waiting on QA and/or production to fix the bug. When its fixed there will be an update to Genesis 2 Female and Male I'm guessing sine the issue affects both.

Thanks Jarred, I wish they had of just said that, there would have been no confusion and I wouldn't have been upset.

I'll suggest that they update their template.
