DAZ Layered Image Editor L.I.E. TUTORIAL - INSTRUCTIONS?

There are some amazing pre-pacaged tattoo products available in the DAZ store.  If I wanted to try and create my own tattoos using L.I.E., are there tutorials or instructions on how to do it?  Or even instrudtions on just how L.I.E. works?

might be interesting to go through the older June challenges as well

For a good preparation of a LIE layer I recommend exporting the surface texture in quesiton to an image manip program (photoshop, I'm always using Gimp)

that helps positioning the additional layer correctly.

esp with tattoos I suggest playing around with the percentage of opacity of the tattoo layer and adding it as well to the translucency map so it doesn't look like it's painted on the top of the skin
