Well...that's your decision. She's still on sale. If you absolutely had to have her for 50% off but don't want to pay the cost to play by DAZ's rules, then that's up to you. Even with the initial sale,(Not PC club) she's a good deal. There's an incredible amount of content and she's well done. And that's not just my opinion---but you do what you gotta do. Everybody does... :)

Well...you beat me to it. :/

Yep...she's live and on sale for the PA sale... :)

I tried doing more fantasy mask things and was told to dial it back...so... :/

Maybe my next one I'll try again---something that won't make the PTB twitch. :D

oh! i'm really sad to hear that, that you were told to dial it back! (I want to ask which moron told you that, but I don't want to sound mean...) I don't buy characters at all if they only have standard normal makeups - there has to be at least one different fantasy makeup type. I don't mean "fantasy" as in elves/etc...I meant it as unusual...like a sci fi theme, or even a fantasy theme or gothic theme or scary or twisted...LOL
ANYTHING that is not just a blue eyeshadow and red lips. I want DIFFERENT. :D

Wow, did they really say that? That's unfortunate. There are a lot of customers around here who love the chars with more options than the standard makeup.

Wow, they have some kind of gall telling me to tone it back when Parisa in the newsletter looks like Alice with the telescoping neck...

OMG...what did they do to her?!?
Someone should really find out what the art department is smoking and make them stop during business hours...

That rat is a pesky little thing - he keeps sneaking into my renders every time. Dunno how he does it - I have him enclosed in a cage in my runtime, but he manages to escape every time. :D

"ferociously twisted" - best compliment you could have given me *grin* thank you! Really happy you like it. I can see I'll be using her quite a lot - I'm utterly in love.

    Thanks Kerya! :D

Outfit is the Fiends Forever Bloodile Swan here at DAZ. Pretty sure I used the pose from that too - can't recall. And hair is Arien's Ying Huan hair. :D

GA -- now I'm curious -- what were the mask-like makeups that didn't make the cut? I love the mask-like effect [yay geoshells!], especially one that gives a doll-like or puppet-like appearance, and I'd sad that the Powers That Be weren't interested.

Here's my first attempt at playing with my favorite part of Parisa -- the "evil puppet" face! I spliced her with SickleYield and Fuseling's Ball Joint Doll, just like I said I would... ^_^

Base figure: Genesis 2 Female. Base textures: Ball Joint Doll for G2F by SickleYield and Fuseling, with GypsyAngel's Parisa for G2F for face and eyes. Character morphs: Ball Joint Doll for G2F by SickleYield and Fuseling, Bride for G2F by RawArt, Aiko 3 base body, AsianH and CaucasianD from Capsces Digital Ink's Hitoro for Hiro 3, some slight adjustments from Zev0's Shape Shift for G2F. Anything from Gen 3 was ported up with Dimension3D's GenX2.

Hair: Propschick's freebie Peggy Tails for Genesis. Outfit: Tokyo Goth for V4 by powerage and Free Sole [shoes] for V4 by Mytilus [not shown]. Outfit textures are default, except for the flaming hearts on the cami, which come from my Loud Fabrics 01 Updated shaders. Pose: from Sedor's BWC Fashion Poses for V6, with some arm poses of mine mixed in.

Set and lights: Danie and marforno's Tranquility Lane. Background: me.

I personally prefer non-fantasy makeup, but that's just me. That being said, I'm glad she's finally released and am definitely buying in a few minutes.

I had the same visceral response to the PA sale strategy. She is lovely and tempting, but the sale strategy has caused me to pass for now. I am PC, but not PC+. This is the PA sale, not the PC sale. My choice to not buy now has nothing to do with the product or vendor, but everything to do with the way these DAZ sales terms make me feel.

Oh...they were different...think Steampunk/ceremonial/avante garde....and you'd come down somewhere in the vicinity. :D Of course, they hated the character, so they hated everything about her. Ehhh...no biggie. I'll pedal her elsewhere...

I LIKE this...she looks like a Tim Burton dahlie in this one! :)

Well, like I said before---you gotta do what you gotta do. I'm sure I'll survive the protest. I don't quite understand the logic behind depriving yourself of something you want just to make DAZ suffer---because they won't. But, you get on with your bad self, then. :)

    Greetings,

Wow, they have some kind of gall telling me to tone it back when Parisa in the newsletter looks like Alice with the telescoping neck...

OMG...what did they do to her?!?
Someone should really find out what the art department is smoking and make them stop during business hours...

It's a tight head crop from the body picture. I have no idea why they picked that one, but the long-ish neck is a side effect of the crop giving the implication of the neck continuing down past the bottom.

Ah well. It's a lovely character; I'm not a fan of the way-far fantasy faces, but it'd be boring if everything was too similar.

Well, it was fun because they cut the top of her head off so they could give her Alice neck. I still think they should make them quit smoking that during working hours...
I don't understand why the "me" approved thumbnail was rejected for that...desecration... they did this to me on the newsletter ad for Toni, too...

Why, thank you---she's fun to play with. :)

*pictures creepy character on a bicycle made of bone, pedaling to another digital storefront* :p

Speaking of dahlies, the fantasy makeup on Parisa made me think of one of my favorite V4 textures, Dark Dahl Vialle. I said to myself, I wonder if it was done by the same person? Lo and behold, it was! You keep makin' 'em, and I'll keep buyin' 'em. :D

Now I want an actual doll with the "creepy puppet" paint job... Hmmm...

    Gypsy Angel,

One reason I bought her is she has 'character'. If I put her in a lineup with other female Daz/Poser characters I'd recognize her immediately. Add in the extra makeups you did and she was literally irresistable to me. She and Amazing Skins are the two PA items I've been looking forward to the most. I'm in the middle of a render series but once it's done I hope to finally find a good reason to render her!
