iClone and DAZ workflow questions for MAC

So I would really love to get iClone and learn to animate some of my stuff, but sadly there is no version for Mac OSx. But I do have the ability to install Windows on a secondary drive, so I wanted to know if anyone knows how things would work if I am using DAZ in OSx but iClone under Windows (either Virtual or on a different HDD). Is this even possible? Or do I need to have DAZ installed in Windows as well?
Thanks.

I'd allready settle with a Serial key in my account,
Can't even install ftm... :-(
Not sure what you mean. Please elaborate.
I bought iClone pro, but in my account there is a blank behind the name where the Serial should be.
Also i dont know if i bought the right product. My english isnt that good. Dont know if 3dXchange is also part of the pro version or that iClone pro is part of the 3dXchange pro product... Or That need to buy both to insert Daz characters in iClone.
ITS not very clear and both are expensive.
Oh. Ok. I understand now. Thanks.
So then this brings up more questions for me. If iClone needs 3dxchange to integrate with DAZ, then this leads me to believe that I would need to install DAZ and 3dxchange both in Windows.
Can anyone else explain if this is true?
you have to take the code from Daz and goto -
http://www.reallusion.com/iclone/
create account
use your code from Daz - to get all of your iClone downloads .
more info ( little text file ( manual ) ) should be in your Daz account .

Thats what i am trying to tell :), in my account at the serials page, behind iClone Pro, there is no serial key, its blank. I do have one for the training video and crazytalk pro though...

guess you will have to file a support ticket then .

you might be better off going to the forums at http://www.reallusion.com/iclone/

Thanks. I figured since DAZ is selling the product and integrates with it, that I had a 50/50 shot of someone here having experience with it.
you do need 3Dxchange to get non IClone models into iClone
Pipeline to get included imported or licensed content out again
cannot help with the rest, I use Windows and bought it from Reallusion
Thanks Wendy,
So can you explain to me how 3Dxchange works? It might help me understand how I can work with iClone on the MAC. So for example, does 3Dxchange reside inside of DAZ or iClone? Do you simply export your scene and load it through iClone?
If for example I create a character in DAZ on the Mac side and then save the scene to an external, would I then be able to go into Windows side and open iClone and import that way? Or do they both need to open at the same time to work via 3Dxchange?
Thanks.
you export rigged characters from Daz as FBX
import or drop into 3Dxchange5pro
export to iClone as a prop or avatar
for avatars you retarget bones in 3DX5 genesis has a preset and is automated
it is the go between program
