Can I use Genesis Spex on an M4?

Was looking for a specific style of glasses for an M4 character, and Spex for Genesis looks great. I have/use Carrara 8.5 so I can use Genesis, just wondering before I purchase is there any reason not to believe I could use these glasses on my M4 (after loading and moving the glasses around til they are in the right place and parenting them to the M4 head, I mean, like I would do with any prop).

Slosh has you covered. The Spex includes a prop version called SPEX2 which can be used on pretty much any figure you want. They're just as easily morphed, and work well for just about anything. Here's how they look on K4.

They work fine for all generation 4 figures, as well as the current Genesis 2 figures.

Thanks! I'm eager to play with it/them, all the styles look pretty great. :)

Hi, and thanks for asking about SPEX. HoF, thanks for answering. I do want to say that I am unsure about Carrara, but only because I don't own it to test my products. I don't see any reason why you would have any issues, and the SPEX2 (which HoF is referring) was designed to fit any figure you have, even a horse or a dragon. The only thing they don't do which SPEX does is automatically resized and fit different Genesis characters, but all of the presets, shaders, materials, and shaping morphs work just the same. SPEX2 is included with SPEX, so it's not a separate purchase, just so you know.

It occurred to me I never answered back on this thread.

I wanted to confirm that Spex does indeed work just fine in Carrara. :) I'm happy with my purchase, even though I bought it full price and it was more than I usually pay for a single item, I feel like I now have eyeglasses/sunglasses that I can use for nearly any style and any character for any of my future scenes. I suppose I could have waited for a PA sale or something and tried to buy it half price, but so far as I'm concerned this was a purchase that was worth the full price and I'm happy. Very good product :)

You made my day with that write-up, Jonstark. Thank you very much :) SPEX was my very first product with DAZ and was a full year ago. It's nice to know it is still appreciated, and now that I know it works in Carrara, I'm thrilled.

SPEX was also the first, and only time I ever Beta-tested a product in the store. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside...

That image was enough to get me to put SPEX on my wishlist. (Payday is Wednesday...)
