ReLight within Daz Studio 4.6

siocsioc Posts: 299

Hi,

I bought ReLight: http://www.daz3d.com/relight and first not appearing in my DIM...

Ok.. downloading manually then: uh! ReLight_DS2 and ReLight_S3 ... Let's try the DS3 and hope the code in it is compatible, sometime that happens...

And NO, I get the error :

Executing DAZ Script file: C:/Users/sioc/Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Library/Scripts/ReLight_v01.dse
WARNING: Script Error: Line 299
WARNING: TypeError: Result of expression 'App.getRenderOptions' [undefined] is not a function.
WARNING: Stack Trace:
()@:299
Error in script execution!

So Not compatible with the v4+

Is it going to be upgraded like Render Throttle for DAZ Studio was, or should I ask for a refund ?

PS: To appear in DIM I had to enable download product for DS3

I doubt if it will be upgraded for DS4.

If you bought it within the last 30 days, you could ask Support for a refund.

I agree with Jimmy. Did you read the notes

this product is not currently compatible with DAZ Studio above version 1.8.

I will check about that for you, but don't hold out much hope :coolsmirk:

Yes, that seems to be a mistake on the Product Page.

There is a version for DS2 and DS3, but the script does not work in DS4 or higher. You could always drop a PM to omnifreaker who created this script, and ask him if he intends to update it for DS4.6?

I have sent a query to DAZ 3D, but will not expect an answer until after the office opens, and it is currently only 6:30am ish in DAZ land

Sorry sioc--ReLight currently only supports DS v2 and v3. If others express interest I would consider an update.

Expressing my interest for multipassrendering in DAZ Studio 4.6. This would be a very useful product to me.

Yes, that would be a very nice idea. I'm waiting for it for so long now!

    @omnifreaker:

With some people (thank you people) saying they are interesting AND looking at the few chances that the post title could bring people to read it, I think it might be interesting to start a new post as a Maybe update for ex.

And of course put in the post a clear explanation of what Relight for DS4 could do and could allow to.

And then see if people knowing what's about manifests.

I sincerely think there is a real need for a tool like yours. I know I was looking for one,

I own an other product that does that kind of things but you have to use its camera and it's made for outdoors, so no way to use any cameras like Camera Magic, Graphic Art Cameras, or Atmospheric Effects Cameras... So zigraphix's and or Age of Armour's cameras users would be surely interested to have such a tool.

Ops! I would like so much to get this script updated to DS 4.6 and not even would ask for an upgrade price. I would glad to pay the full price.

I'd be interested in an update as well. Rendering lighting layers is a pain in the ... neck ... without the script, to the point where I don't bother unless I can't get the lighting right otherwise.

To shorten us the standby time for the ReLight update, I found butaixianran´s free multipass script: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/38514/
