Missing Geometry

Here's the situation:

In Daz 4, I try to load the anvil from Old Forge and I get that message "It is looking for "runtime/geometries/RHS/BS/bs_anvil.obj". I am not a new user, and I have seen this problem before a few times, so I go to look for the file myself. The resulting "no search results found" anywhere in my content or anywhere on my pc. So I decided to re install the product, no big deal. Reset download on the Old Forge and instead of the usual Daz installer I got a zip file. Which, still, is not a big deal. I shop at the other place a lot and I am likewise not new to installing from zip files. I even read the little read me for giggles on how to install zips. OK. Installed to My Library for Daz 4, thinking, why not bring it over to the new program ( it had previously been in my Daz 3 content ). I load the program, re load the scene and I had to search high and low throughout my content libraries to find any icon for this within Daz 4 content. I double click and bam.. nothing enters the scene. I think to myself, maybe I made a mistake with the install. I mean this product wasn't in my poser format library ( except in the previous daz 3 folders ), it was only coming up in Daz files. So.. I back up a few paces and decide to re install it again, this time to my Daz 3, which is still installed and used on my pc. I install it to daz 3 content, like I have done hundreds of times before without issue. Here, I encounter some issues. Instead of opening the files and putting them away within the runtime, it installed them into a second "content" folder located within the content folder. I've seen it happen a bunch of times with poorly zipped files, so I decide to sort it all out manually to the proper folders. I open the runtime folder to find it only has 3 folders, libraries, textures, weblinks. No geometry files. I looked through it everywhere, nothing. I sorted out what I could, manually putting the props to their folder, etc. At this point, in both Daz3 and 4, I try to load the anvil, and I am still getting the original error message for the missing obj file, which I see there is not one.

Are the zips not including the full poser files? I realize I run Daz, but when I started using Daz years ago, it was easier for me to know the file paths of the products I was installing so I could fix any mistakes, like file misdirects.

Are the zip files only using Daz format? Anyone else have the Old Forge and want to tell me where I can find it?

I wanted to use the anvil in a scene and this is frustrating. I already had complaints with the new platinum club format ( i really dislike the new coupon/checkout way of giving us our monthly voucher among other things ) and I am strongly considering quitting the PC after the anniversary. The issues with the new store had me spending cash over at the other place, which I have never had an issue installing from ( be it to Daz 3 or Daz 4 ).

The Old Forge needs The Village Blacksmith!

The Geometries will be in that. Looks as if you have just a texture set.

The Old Forge is an add-on for The Village Blacksmith http://www.daz3d.com/shop/the-village-blacksmith , not a stand-alone product.

You don't need to install your content twice, once for DS3 and once for DS4 - just make sure they are both pointed to the same content directories.

Well, thanks for the responses. Looks like I am off to buy the village smith.

A final heads up to whoever puts products up/updates products-

There's no place it says on the Old Forge product page that it requires "The Village Blacksmith" like it did on the old site. All it says in regards anywhere on the page is "Two complete texture and bump map sets to turn the Blacksmith into a forge ". The customer is left without enough information on what product the texture set is for.

Can you please put the links back to the product requirements to use a product?

    Thanks again

It does say what product is required I'm afraid.

Sorry my screen shot hasn't come out right, but it does show the required product is on that page.

And likewise, sorry to tell you but that required product section on the right was not there this morning when I looked at the product. And I assure you I looked at it several times. I am glad it is there now, however. I wish I had a screenshot to prove to you that I am right about it not being there earlier. Maybe they jumped on it and fixed it that fast? We can only hope.

Thank you anyway. I got the blacksmith.

Well now I am having issues responding. The forum won't even let me post. For some reason it decided to log me out mid post. This site is acting funky on me. This is the second time I have to write my response due to the forum treating me like I am logged out, yet it still lets me access my account.

Required product listings have been there all along (though they were amusingly wrong at first). Of course there may have been a glitch that hid them, in general or on that page, for a while.
