Hey there,

I'm trying to render a 3d map i made in bryce, from the top down, and have it match it up with its 2d original drawing.

Ive tried and there seems to be distortion and mismatched areas.

Is there a way to render a top down view without distortion?

Thanks.

Are you trying to create a 3D map using a terrain or is this a topological view? Could you post an image of what you're trying to do?

@cyberjym - have you tried to use camera from top? Another means is to move the camera far away (50,000 BU or more) and set FOV to 1° and Scale to 1000%. Of course, Fog and Haze must be off. You can also try to use an isometric lens. Put an infinite plane between camera and object and make it fully transparent with Refraction 0.

@cyberjym: That's really nice. But where's the "X" which marks the site of the treasure? ;-)
