Switching Gen2F and Gen2M UV-maps

I have a small question regarding a hint on switching Gen2F and Gen2M UV-maps I found in one of Dimension3D's manuals:
If you want to use textures for Genesis 2 Male with the Female version or vice versa, all you have to do is to copy the DSF files for the UV mappings from one version to the other. The files with the UV definitions are located in the following folders:
/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 2/Female/UV Sets
/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 2/Male/UV Sets
The question is, what about the folders inside? Do they need to retain their names, can I make a big folder inside /data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 2/Male/UV Sets with Gen2F folders containing DSF files?

Yes, you can have the big folder. ;-)

No need to move folders or copy anything. Download this little freebie if you are using DAZ Studio (no Poser files yet) and it will make the task even easier for you. All you have to do is apply your desired texture, then click the preset that matches the uvs and it will make the texture work on either G2F or G2M. I haven't added Gianni or Lilith yet, but most of the UV's are there.
NOTE: You have to own the intended uv's already... in other words, if you never bought Victoria 6, then the UV Preset will not do anything.

Wait, has G2F/G2M always had the ability for cross-uv use, or is this new? I just tried using some of G2M's mats straight onto G2F (without moving any files) and it auto-added the proper G2M UV into the drop down for G2F's surface tab.
Lol, didn't know this either, but what a nice feature.
Even legacy UV's are transferred when you resave as material preset. :-)
Thanks for the heads-up, Vaskania.
Too bad it only works for the G2 series of UVs. If it would work like that for Genesis UVs without the extra products that would be a major step forward.
Hey, those are my extra products! LOL, I know what you mean, though.

LOL ;-P
Thank you all! That freebie's going to be handy. I will consider bringing the UV-maps together as I got Svengar for Gianni, so I want to see if his face can be used for ladies.
