Now that I have a backup system - external tape and Hard drives - would the correct backup (to restore in place with same pathing as part of recovery from catastrophic failure ) be to backup the Studio program files folders, plus the "My Library" folders, plus the CMS folders and database folders?

For the CMS database using the Export User Data option is more reliable than backing up the databases themselves. Make sure you back up the DS installer as well -- you can reinstall on top of the files you backed up to retain your settings. You'll also want to back up the application data folders -- on Win7 they're in C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4

If you use DIM, also back up the ManifestFiles folder C:\Users\Public\Documents\DAZ 3D\InstallManager\ManifestFiles

If you have more than a few content folders mapped, also remember to back up your content mappings so you don't have to re-enter all of them.

Plus, if you have customized the interface (adding your own menu items, arranging tabs, etc.) you'll want to back that up as well.
