Mavka Mermaid Problems - Tail won't load

Has anyone here solved the problem of getting the Mavka Mermaid (From Rendo) tail to load. The top and necklace load fine but the tail just wont load.
I have tried downloading direct into My DAZ Library and loading it through preferences Content Directory Poser Formats but none of them will work. I get a 'File cannot be found message' (See attached.)
I am not very technical on this stuff so a lot of coding stuff goes over my head lol.
Hope somebody can help.
Thanks in advance.

It looks like the mermaid tail OBJ file which should be in the Geometries folder is missing, or not installed into the correct runtime folder.

I had a look at the Readme at Rendo, which seems to be a bit of a mess. You would need to check your installation to see where the OBJ file is that the CR2 file is looking for. You could try reinstalling it again?

If you compare the error message with the first set of files it's clear that the OBJ files are in the wrong folder - the CR2 is looking in \Runtime\Geometries\ while the actual file is in \Runtime\Geometries\3DTM\Mavka Mermaid. The quickest fix is to move the file, the tidier fix is to edit the CR2 in a text editor to fix the two references to the OBJ file (remembering that the file uses a colon : to separate folder names).

I don't know how you have this installed, there is no need to have a separate runtime folder for each item like you appear to have?

In any case, the CR2 file appears to be looking for 'Runtime/Geometries/Mermaid Tail.OBJ' and it should really be looking for

    'Runtime/Geometries/3DTM/Mavka Mermaid/Mermaid Tail.OBJ'

You could have a look at the CR2 file in any text editor, and look for the line where it is looking for Mermaid Tail.OBJ, and change that to the correct path.

    XPost Richard.

I have tried two ways to install it. I unzipped to My DAZ3D Library that didn't work. I tried going to Edit / Preferences/Content Library / Content Director Manager / Poser Format then applied. Doesn't work in that either.
I have notepad on my laptop but no idea how to edit stuff. :-(

As has been pointed out, the CR2 file appears to be looking in the wrong place, so it wont find the OBJ no matter where it is installed to.

You should be able to drop the contents of the ZIP file into My DAZ 3D Library, and it will show up under Poser Formats (NOT DAZ Studio Formats) in the Content Library pane.

As Richard suggested, you could move/copy the OBJ files out of 3DTM/Mavka Mermaid, and put them directly in the Geometries folder, it would be the easiest way to get the CR2 to work. The other way involves editing the CR2 file in a text editor, and changing the path to the correct one in the two places where the OBJ file is called.

Thankyou Jimmy and Richard. I will have a go at this and see if I can do it.
