I was wondering if anyone is playing with Sims 4 here? I just got it and trying to figure it out.

yep, got it yesterday. Haven't had much time to play it, but realized real quick, i need some CC to make it work for me since the default is pretty lacking. Took me awhile to figure out all the sections in CAS though. Shame I deleted all my Sims3 content including all the expansions and several gigs of CC, oh well. I wish TSR or MTS would release a new toolkit so I can start some modding.

Not me. I haven't really play since Sims 2 but went to buy it online through the website last night and it won't let me. Kept saying my payment method wasn't valid although upon checking this morning I have 2 1.00 transactions they managed with no problems. :(

I'll prob just end up going to the store. For some reason I wanted to try out this new one.

I used to love sims and played it regularly. But they were beginning to show their age with sims 3. I just don't care for the style of overly tony they have embraced for the characters. I was hoping by now they'd have embraced a more realistic style of character design. What I've seen hasn't inspired me to buy. When I played sims 3, I had to customize the sims to get them to look at least remotely good to me.

I may pick it up at some point, but it wasn't an autobuy this go around.

I binge-play the Sims 3. I'll let it sit idle for six months at a whack, then suddenly I'll do nothing else with my free time for a week.

Numpty that I am, I bought Sims 4 on an impulse when I got the promo email, without having read any of the current press. I just assumed it would be released on both PC and the Mac at the same time. Imagine my delight when I tried to download it and it was Windows only.

I started to leave the order active and just wait it out for a month or two, but it became apparent that EA hasn't even announced a Mac release date. So, a few minutes in chat with a very personable and competent customer service operator, and the purchase was undone.

No. And I'm NOT going to buy it!

The point is, I detest the approach EA - Electronic Arse - has towards their customers. Besides, TS4 looks more than TS1 than anything. The characters are so unrealistic. I read on Reddit that there are no babies, no kids, no cars, no pools and the ponds are just flat tiles instead of adjustable terrain patches! So it is a terrible drawback from TS2.

I never played TS2 much for the usual gameplay. Nobody died under my care... I only used it for world-building. With custom content, the architectural tools are quite amazing. I got the full collection for nothing when EA was giving away TS2. And well, I don't really care about TS4. Yet I wish good fun to anybody who enjoys the game.

I returned Sims 4 and going back to Sims 3. I have G2F and G2M if I want the newest and greatest.

I've never touched a Sims game, but just wanted to say TS4 has babies, that much I know. I watched a streamer play and it went through the whole pregnancy and birth and everything, along with everything else you'd expect to come with a baby (diaper changing, options for bottle/breast feeding, play time, etc). Never watched him age the kid up so I'm not sure if it goes in actual yearly increments or if it goes from baby to adult.

Oops, my bad, so it IS possible to have NORMAL BABIES. Because everybody on Reddit seems to be getting offspring of the mighty Cthulhu here from Fast Grab: http://fo.reddit.com/r/thesims/comments/2fjm90/has_anyone_had_a_normal_looking_baby/

Reading all the information about SIMS 4 I am not inclined to ever play it. They threw out about everything I liked for reasons that are very questionable. Pretty sure at least half of these things return in the form of downloadable content for cash - EA has a very questionable reputation.

Hah! Yea. Those demon babies are just graphics glitches. I did watch a video though comparing Sims4 with Sim3 and apparently it is gimped like crazy for the same reasons you said. I just can't seem to find the same video I watched (it wasn't on youtube, so it's not in my history). >.<</p>
