Having trouble making morphs
Im trying to make some real simple morphs for some figures, but I haven't had any luck so far getting the morphs to work.
I start out with the model: wyvern 2.0, standing with no pose, no maps, scaled at 100%, and no other morphs. I export him using the daz preset (without maps though). I make my morph in another program, just one of them for now, and export it out from the program as an .OBJ.
Back in daz, I load wyvern 2.0 and go to the morph loader pro. I choose the file with the morph and leave everything else its defaults. I do change the reverse deformations to yes. I click accept.
The next box says:
Loading morph WyvernAbdMuscleMorphDC...
No deltas for morph, skipping node.
Created morph successfully.
But there is no dial for the morph anywhere in the parameters tab.
I try again, this time under 'create control property' I change the 'property' setting to create, and I go through another window to set up a slider. I click accept on that window, and then click accept on the morph loader pro.
I again get the message:
Loading morph WyvernAbdMuscleMorphDC...
No deltas for morph, skipping node.
Created morph successfully.
This time a new tab called 'morphs' appears in the parameters tab, and there is a slider there with the morph. But when I move the slider to 100% (default is 0%) nothing happens. The shape doesn't change at all.
Ive looked at a few tutorials and the daz Wiki, but all of them are on old versions of daz and they don't go through problems that might come up. Im using Daz Studio 4.6.3 I believe.
Please note that this is really my first time creating a morph like this. I have tried making some MCM adjustment morphs before using the same method, but I didn't get very far and it only worked for me half the time then.
What am I missing here?

If the figure was zeroed you don't need to check Reverse Deformations, that's for removing the effect of a morph or pose (if you were creating a correction morph, for example). What the "no deltas" message iss aying is that DS didn't see any difference between the imported mesh and the base - having Remve Deformations checked unnecessarily shouldn't do that, but trying again with it unchecked is a first step (as is making doubly sure that you are loading the morphed shape, not the originally exprted OBJ).
I thought the Reverse deformations made the morph possible with any shape. At least, that's what I understood from the stuff I read.
I did try it with Reverse Deformations set to no and the rest at their defaults, but I still don't get a slider and that no deltas message was still there.
I am positive Im choosing the right file for the morph. When I import the object file itself my morphed figure comes up.
The Wyvern figure is legacy rigged using the Poser fall off zone type rigging. It does not use WM and active joint centers.
try using Morph Loader Advanced, instead of Pro - I have seen that work better with legacy figures.
I tried it, but I got an error that basically said there was no difference made by the morph. I don't see why Im getting this message.
This is the morph I made Link Removed
If you click import on this file, it will show the morph I made.
Please take the file down from your web site as it is the OBJ file for the figure (albeit modified) and it isn't permissible to redistribute that.
Now, I did download it and it. One obvious thing is that it doesn't have groups - but unfortunately, even if that is the issue, it isn't going to work as a morph. it looks as if you had symmetry on in Sculptris, and that destroys the vertex order - I used modo to apply your OBJ as a morph to the DAZ Wyvern OBJ and as you can see it wasn't a success.
I got the same thing when I tried again with the Dragon 3.
I'll try without using symmetry.
(And I deleted the file, I'll be more careful in the future)
Ok, Ive tried it without symmetry on, and so far get the morph to work on the Dragon 3. I still cant get older figures like the wyvern 2.0 and Digi-I's Trex to work; I still get the 'no deltas' message.
Id certainly consider this solved for now. I still need to save the morph, so Ill be heading back to the tutorials and stuff for that.
Did you try Morph Loader Advanced for the non-symmetry version?
I did, and I get a message along the lines of, "One or more morph files had no effect, see log". So its having the same issue as the Morph Loader Pro where its not 'seeing' the morph.
