Question re "punch rewards"...

ok, I'm a little confused.

I have 5 punches, which means I'm supposed to get "+10% OFF new items & artist stores,"

But are those "new items" they are referring to, ONLY the NEW items released for the day's punches??? Not any new product from an artist's store?

That's right, the PA Sale affects the new, punch-earning items and the back-catalogue, Items that are betwixt and between are not subject to additional discounts.

Richard, I'm having some trouble figuring out this PA sale. I'm a platinum club member, so I believe I follow the 3 items 50% rule. I've clicked on the banner and it takes me to a list of participating vendors.

But if I go, say to SWAM as a vendor and choose more than three items, sometimes they are 49.97% etc (Almost 50 -okay), but sometimes they are 29.97% or even zero% off and I cannot quite figure out the rule to which items will get me the 50% items except by experimentation, as true sale prices don't show until you calculate them in the cart. I first assumed all participating vendor store items were eligible. Then I tried thinking that it was the 30% sale items that were in the sale. Now I assume I may have to cross reference the items in SWAM's store with a list somewhere else?? If so, I haven't found the list that matches the items getting the amounts off. It's probably really simple once somebody points the way.

Can you or somebody help? Is there a link that explains to me what I have missed?

I'm not even worrying about the punches thing right now unless it is important to the initial sale. That's an added layer. Just the basics for this apparently slow customer. Sorry.

SWAM has items that are PA, buy outs that are DO's in the regular catalog and DO's that are PC products. PC/PC Plus products are not part of the PA sale. If the product is new (in the store less than 60 days but beyond it's traditional 2 week intro period) it would not be discounted at all. If the product is still in it's intro period but beyond the 1 (or is it 2) day release for the PA sale, it would have the intro discount but would not be eligible for the buy 3 get half off.

If you followed that train of thought you're doing better than I am. Been up way too long and brain is getting mushier than usual.

Ok. I hear the words. Not sure the acronym DO. PC items at 1.99 not on sale I can understand in the translation. Don't know how to distinguish PC + items, but assume there is overlap with PC. Items a few days old I can understand an see assuming they are at the beginning of the catalogue list. But overall, sorry, when I go to the SWAM cataloge I see prices and lables NEW! 30% off and 50% off. Dates don't seem to be given, so I'm not sure how folks tell what is 60 days old. Most items are 30% off or 0% off with a 51% stuck somewhere in there. Appreciate the response, but I think you're more savvy than I even if you feign muddled! I need an eschelon key, please.

DO is DAZ Original. They list DAZ3D in the vendor line. The Platinum Club is now the Platinum Club Plus. If you are a member and are not aware of it, things have/are changing.

If you are an annual PC member and your PC membership expires between now and 1 Aug 2015, you have the option of letting the remainder of your PC membership run out. If you do, you will be entitled to the PC pricing, the PC discount on DAZ originals and the monthly coupon. You have the option of opting in early to the PC Plus. Before you do, read the changes carefully and know what you are opting into before you do. Once in there is no out. Once your annual membership expires and you renew, you will become PC Plus. There is not choice. If you are a monthly member, you are already in the PC Plus. All monthly members were given August to stick with their original PC or opt in. Once their payment became due in September, they became PC Plus members.

No dates are given as to when an item is released. Because SWAM has the three different types of items (PA items, PC/PC Plus items and DAZ Origninals), you may have to look at each product to determine where they fall.

If you are still holding onto your original PC membership or are not a PC member, you have to buy 3 items from SWAM's catalog to get the 50% discount. If you are a PC Plus member, you get the half off on any item.

New items are items that have been in the store less than 60 days. New items generally go through a 2 week intro period where they have a discount. Usually it's 30% but there are exceptions. After 2 weeks, the product goes to full price and stays there until the new period is up.

Now there are exceptions to this. DAZ Originals are discounted 30% for PC/PC Plus members. DAZ may also give bigger discounts if they so chose. The DM bundle recently on sale was carrying a 51% discount for PC/Plus members.

This may also be complicated if you are participating in the punches. I'm not so I won't even try and explain that.

Believe me, my brain is pretty addled. We're heading into our second full night trying to meet deadline. Power naps aren't doing it any more and neither is coffee.

This sale is so blasted complicated at times I hate it. It was always so much easier back when it was the annual half off PA sale.
