Hello,
I want to do some animations in blender and I am not sure what to use. Does Diffeomorphic work with blender 2.91? I read in the Diffeomorphic-thread and a tutorial that there are some issues.
What advantages does Diffeomorphic offer, I read that you can import poses from daz. That would be an advantage for animating.Anything else?
Thanks

Go for diffeo. There are no issues with 2.91.
The advantages of diffeo over daz are too many to list, from materials to animation to geografts and shells and hair support, but there's much more.
Did I hear right?shells? Cause I'm just having a massive issue importing shells properly to blender. Like on Daz the mesh underneath is gone to the point that if I hide shell I see a hole on body... But on blender both meshes collide and texture looks broken with holes.. Also eyes didn't port properly. They are not a separate thing with own bones and shades where bad applied so model had a mirror for eyes. I was so frustrated to try point I tried the daz to blender solution in hopes it would be better but sadly is worse... Like they idea or how they sell it seems amazing, but then I try it and model get ported so bad I can't believe it... No textures, hair is detached from Head bones are all Messed up and mixed together and is a useless port. I really don't know what to do..

@apersichino As for diffeo shells are converted to material layers. This avoids multiple geometry layers that are only necessary to iray because it can't layer materials. Then if you got a specific issue I may try to help if you can describe it better, perhaps with some pictures and a test scene, as simple as possible.
Well, for animation, I would just use the blender addon BETTERFBX exporter/importer. Do your animation in Daz, export the FBX, and import with this add on. You will have to tweak the textures (especially the eyes), but after that, you are home free. For the texture tweak, I use diffeo and just borrow the textures from that export. You can also use the new DAZtoblender and just import a range of poses and add them to the time line. The NEW version of DAZ2Blender is awesome! It finally beats Diffeo.
The reason why the bridge to Blender exists is to make animation IN blender.
