Punchable item freebie not free

Today's email says if I grab the punchable item, I get to select one free item.

I add the punchable item (which is free), and then add one of the items from the list:

- and with both in the cart, the list item is not free.

Because the only punchable thing today is free, so you will probably NOT get the promotion you link to in the newsletter to work. I understand you are talking about this issue below, right?
