I need a way to clean up seams on some textures. It has to be cheap. Can anyone recommend a method or software, please?

    GIMP is free.
    Corel's PSP is reasonably priced [if you get on their mailing list, it goes on sale now and then too].

    Method? Eraser brush, clone brush, paint brush, smudge tool, etc ... remember to leave a 'seam allowance' around the edges.

    I have an older edition ... good for starting skins and matching seams BUT still need to do the polishing in a 2d editor that works with layers.

    Also in the paint program, if painting with an image, use as high a quality an image to paint with as you can get ;-)
