I got an email stating that I can get an extra 10% of my my purchases, it does not mention that it is a one use only discount which would have been useful! If I had known this i could have added a lot more Items before it was used!

    Most coupons are like that. Gift Certificates would be the only things that could carry over since they have an actual balance from which to deduct.

    Did everyone get the same suggestion, or are the DAZ3D wizards doing some data-mining on our previous purchases?

    (I was sorely tempted to get the suggestion - Stonemason's abandoned warehouse interior - but I went with the Dystopian Aircar and its police expansion instead because (a) they were on sale, and (b) I'm likely to use them more than once.)

    I've never seen the logic in DAZ restricting coupons like that. Think about it for a moment:

    Oh, goodie. I've got a coupon. X% off! Great, I'll immediately buy A, B and C which I've wanted for a while.

    Oh, I forgot about D and E. But the voucher's no good now ... OK, forget it. Lost sale. Maybe next time.

    As for the data mining that led to this offer ... I'll let DAZ into a secret: telling a customer that they've found something that they might be interested in buying, when the customer already owns that thing, looks pretty damn incompetent. It had me wondering if it was some sort of super sophisticated scam.

    and the wording was pretty good, as it did offer alternatives, and also said "to take an extra 10% Off* our recommendation or anything else in our shop you fancy."

    Simply subscribe to the newsletter in your profile. And be sure you have entered your correct e-mail adress in your account, so that you can receive mails from DAZ.

    Oh, I simply have. I get newsletters sometimes, not consistently, but sometimes. I guess these coupon offers people get are only sent to a targeted group, which I've just never had the good fortune of belonging to.

    If I get a paper coupon for a shop I can only use it once so it does surprise me that some find it that it should be different for an online shop. I am not trolling, just sharing my thoughts.

    I know, I usually assume it's one use unless it specifically states it can be used more than once.

    @bduncan86 - I don't always get the extra coupons, and I suspect they're sent out to those who consistently make purchases. I tend to buy more during this sale, and the PC Ann'y next month, so I got it this time, but rarely during the rest of the year.

    You may be correct. I feel suspiciously showered with offers this week even though judging from the posts, a lot of people spent a lot more just on punchable stuff.

    Interesting Pete, as I've found I've only received these types of coupons when I've been busy spending. Oh well. ~shrugs~
