What's the best search phrase to bring up any and all objects that can go Straight in Bryce (at 5.5)?

    If you select Bryce from the left hand menu in the Store, then you can select any of the other categories to filter by. There is no way that I know of to limit the search to a particular version of Bryce.

    But, as Jimmy says, very few that will work in 5.5. Bryce 5 was released in 2001 and DAZ 3D released 5,5 in about 2004/2005, so almost 10 years since it has been current.

    Well then what does it mean where at the bottom regarding compatible software it simply says Bryce?

    The filters work fine and found ivy castle for 10 bucks.

    I just installed 6.3 but says it won't run without studio. I have the latest studio version already installed (and not part of bryce 5.5 which has an older version of studio yawn)... How to I get this new version of studio to link with bryce 6.3? Let me guess, you can't.

    Bryce 6.3 does not need DS. Bryce is fully it's own program. I have Bryce 5, 6 and 7 installed, but have never had DS installed on this PC.

    The Bryce bridge doesn't work with DS, are you sure you have installed the Bryce program files?

    Ivy Castle was released in 2011, so should work in 6.3, not sure about 5.5

    Normally if it doesn't give a version number then you have a fair chance it will work, but I wouldn't guarantee that.

    Wait, I think it's working.

    Um, 6 runs... but when trying to get into studio from bryce, I get the error "unable to copy the wrapper library to new location".

    I don't really need studio, seeing I never was able to load any objects but for cloister. But do you think bryce 6 will take any models that say (just) bryce?

    Eh? I've always bridged from studio to bryce as that was the only way to get (ie ds) objects into bryce. But this is fine and we may get the castle. Thanks. Yeah that was a 218 file. It also comes with bryce lightning which I've never been able to use or access. Not even sure what the heck it does unless it's needed for lighting.

    Bryce lightning is only needed if you want to build a render farm.

    Bryce 6 will take any items without a version number, it just won't be able to use items that say Bryce 7.

    The bridge should work between DS and Bryce, as long as you have the latest version of DS

    I think at one time there was a problem with it, but this was sorted out, so DS should bridge to any version of Bryce.

    However as I have never worked this way I can't be 100% sure, I use Poser as a first step to get my DAZ 3D models into Bryce as OBJs.
