What 'must have' items would you recommend??

So currently (and likely for 1 day only) looks like pretty much every PA store is included in the sale. Which means I actually might buy 3 or more items, which means that I can actually get the 50% discount, which makes it even more likely that if ever, now is the time to strike. (Up til now I've been pretty much sitting out the latest sales).

Problem: So many artists stores to consider, difficult to even know what to search for.

Thought I would just ask the community at large: What do you consider the 'must have' items that are highly recommended to purchase during this sale?

It's totally fine if you recommend things I already have, I'm hoping this thread won't be just for me, but for everyone who wants a quick rundown of general opinions on what to snag while the sale is running.

So what do you guys think? What will we be kicking ourselves for not buying tomorrow? What is that core group of items that are just 'must-have' and highly recommended?

I bought Genesis Generation X2 and GenX2 AddOn for Genesis 2. They seldom go on sale. I'm going to send you a PM with some other information.

I've just spent a fortune on buildings by Jack Tomalin, Stefan "Stonemason" Morrell, Merlin Studios, Soulless Empathy and Faveral.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

Light Dome Pro has become the thing to use for me if I go the render in Daz route.
For work in Carrara - some plant packs:

    Arboretum Volume 1 & 2.

Otherwise, looking at things like morphing kits is always good. Yesterday I grabbed up "Clothing Breast Fixes For Genesis 2 Female" because auto-fit has a habit of doing really odd things to the chest area if the outfit was not made for the specific morphs you're using.

Now is a good time to make sure you have all the same general morph kits for males and females...

Room Creator 2 by Maclean. His props are a must if you are looking to make your own interiors. Even more versatile if you have Pimp my Prop shaders.

I agree with everyone regarding Generation X2 and its various add on sets as the main must have. If you have any generation 3 and 4 characters and morph packs, it makes both normal genesis and G2M and G2F a lot more flexible. You can also use it to create auto fit clones for characters for G2M and G2F that are currently missing them (eg all Gen 3s), so any clothing for older generations becomes available to all the genesis characters.

I also think AoA's advanced lights are a must have

I know it might be tacky for me to recommend one of my own products, but many people have told me it is a must have... that would be Handy Dandy http://www.daz3d.com/slosh/handy-dandy which fixes the hands and feet when applying poses from different generations of figures. It works with M4 (and his brothers), V4 (and her sisters), Genesis and Genesis 2 Male and Female.

I second StratDragon: Stonemason elements and Age of Armour lights, all the way.

    Yes, I use it often.

    My must-haves are:

++ Genesis/G2 morphs in combination with different morphing products by Thorne and Mada, ZevO and DieTrying (the Genesis/G2 transcriptions by SickleYield, at sharecg).

++ Clothes… I love those versatile, more historical ones, like MFD, the Pharaoh's sets - and almost everything by Ravenhair and Moyra.

++ Jack Tomalin's, Faveral's and some of Stonemason's buildings, interiors and props.

++ Andrej Pestryakov's 'Nature', 'Forest', and 'Tropical' series.

    ++ Flipmode's 'Easy Environments'

++ Good shaders! One of my most 'precious', a radiant gem in my shader collection, is Fisty and Marieah's 'Gemologica'.

++ AoA lights, but also Dimension Theory's light series. ARTCollaboration's sets mostly come with excellent lights.

There are many, many more; it's almost unfair to stop here and leave a lot of fine artists unmentioned.

I found this thread when searching to see if Room Creator was worth buying and realised that it's made by the creator of my own favourite 'must have' item, so I thought I'd give it a mention. 'Everyday Morphing Primitives'. There's not a lot that you can't cobble together with these and I probably find at least one use for one of them every day - even more so since I bought 'Pimp My Prop' last week. Room Creator suddenly seems like a bit of a no-brainer :)
