sometimes stuff with an opacity map looks overall translucent in Unreal

well today I learned don't use translucent use masked and add a dither temporalAA brick

no more semi seethrough meshes!

  • LOL Filament needs this brick

  • Another thing that can help is adding a multiplier to the opacity.  I built that into the DazToUnreal materials because of this http://davidvodhanel.com/daz-to-unreal-adjusting-hair-transparency/

With masked there's also a setting in there for what the opacity cutoff is.

  • think I actually found that yes

I get this issue more with my iClone FBX imports though, the example I used was the Collie dog

Hello, how to use this brick in DAZ Filament?

I got trouble in Filament hair, it changes between normal hair and scalp in different view angle randomly, no matter what kind shader or map I used. Any idea?

oh sorry, just realised you already replied me.

Toon hair, Cartoon hair? But I'm not making cartoon, I'm trying to make a photoreal comic, similiar as the game 'A Wife And Mother' which is also made by DAZ.
