Hardware suggestions

Hello everyone,

I have some extra money coming my way and I want to use it to upgrade my system and I was hoping for some input from you guys first.

Right now I have an I7 3820 CPU, 32gb of 1600 ddr3, and a NVIDIA gtx 770 with a 256 GB ssd.

I was wondering which upgrade would help me best.

I am getting enough to do a full update to a dd4 system, motherboard, CPU and memory.

But I was wondering if I would be better off getting a 6 core ivy bridge Xeon and more of the memory I'm currently using. I can get also throw in a larger ssd and a 970 or maybe just the CPU and octane render.

But the main question is regarding the difference in a dd4 system or just boost my current ddr3 platform.

In your situation I wouldn't get anything for the old system that I couldn't move to the new X99 one.
...a 980 and Octane, and possibly a bigger SSD.
