Need help in figuring out what is happening with this R2D2 like droid

I created this scene in a previous version of DS4. I now have the latest version of DS4.6. When I try to raise the scope that comes out of its head, it looks like this in the image I posted. I open DS3, load the figure and its fine there. I saved it in DS3 and try to merge it in DS4.6, but I get an error message saying some of the files couldn't be found while loading file.... See the log for more details. Here's the part of the log referencing the scene:

Opening file r2d2.daz...

Do I have to put all these into the data folder in data folder in DS3?

Is the first DS-format content folder listed in DS3 also listed as a DS-format content folder in DS4.6?

I'm not sure how I would check that.

In DS4.5 Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Click on Content Directory Manager (Bottom Button) and expand DS Formats to see if your DS3 content folder, or at least where this model resides, is listed if not use the Add button to Add the path.

PS where did you get the model from?

In DS3 it's Edit > Preferences > Directories > Content Directory Manager. When you load a Poser model DS converts it to DS data files. DS3 saves them in the first DS-format content folder, so if DS4.5 doesn't have that directory as a DS-format content folder it won't be able to find them.

I checked and my DS3 content folder is in DS4.6.

Szark: I got the model at Vanishing Point in the Freebie section.

What's the full path to those folders/files on your computer?

Vanishing Point models are designed for use in Poser. The are set up to follow the old rigid runtime structure that dates back to P4 and uses absolute paths (since most of these models date back to the P5/P6 era).

Check to see that the files are in the runtime folder and the folder is mapped to the Poser content.

The model is located at C:/Users/Tim/Documents/Daz3d/Studio3/content/runtime/libraries/characters/starwars

The scene is located at C:/Users/Tim/Documents/Daz3d/Studio3/content/Star wars

icprncss, I'll try to do that.

In DS4.6 can you go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, expand the "DAZ Studio Formats" and "Poser Formats", and post a screenshot?

    Hmm, that all looks right.

Do you have the file C:/Users/Tim/Documents/Daz3d/Studio3/content/data/3_0/r2unit_139211/Base/r2unit_139211_Base/geometry.dso?

And I assume you are logged in as Tim?

Have you tried loading the model into a new scene, saving it as a scene file and then merging that scene with the original scene?

I don't have r2unit_139211/Base/r2unit_139211_Base/geometry.dso or any other r2 related data info in the data folder.

I'll give that a try too.
